My art career started while I was in elementary school. While my peers were chasing each other and playing kickball at recess, I was reimagining different monsters, creatures, and characters and bringing them to life in my composition book. I enjoyed being able to create my own world with my imagination, and this sudden realization of my ability to create is what ultimately sparked my interest to develop my drawing skills in the arts as I took classes to learn about color theory, composition, and framing. As I continued to grow as an artist, I began to realize that art was more than all the fundamental principles and rules that they taught in traditional art classes. I came to appreciate art as a unique medium for personal expression, and I enjoyed being able to show a part of myself and my unique style in my finished projects. As a child, I watched a large variety of typical American television shows, but I specifically really enjoyed anime. This interest in anime continued to develop, and as I grew older, I continued to enjoy watching animated films and cartoons. This interest in cartoon-style forms of entertainment eventually manifested itself in my artwork as I brought myself into the projects I worked on. The pieces that I worked on demonstrate a mix of the skills of realism that I have gained from the traditional art classes I have taken and the cartoon style of animation that I had always grown up watching. As a result, my style has evolved into one that is best described as cartoony with a sense of realism and grit. My love for art truly began to flourish once I learned to transcend the limits of the classroom and implement my heart, soul, and personality into my artwork. I enjoyed being able to express myself through art as a medium, and I wanted to pursue art as a profession to have the opportunity and privilege of being paid to do the very thing I love most. As a result, in high school, I decided to take an initiative to buckle down and work hard on a portfolio that I believed would be deemed exemplary for college readiness. I took two advanced placement art classes to learn about new techniques, expand my creativity, and enhance my portfolio, and I began to create artwork that I would sell for a commission. My first paid commission piece was for a friend in a Jewish teen leadership group. They wanted a new logo that they could use to represent their team that was a mix of serious and humorous, so I created a logo of a muscular duck holding a beam of lightning. Initially, I planned out the idea by sketching it on paper through traditional means, but I completed the project digitally using Illustrator. This experience piqued my interest in pursuing a career that involved tailoring my art skills toward a fully digital means of business. In college, I hope to take my skills within traditional art and translate them fully into the digital medium, and as a professional, I want to bring a part of myself into my artwork and become an inspiration for those trying to achieve the same goals within the fine arts. Becoming an artist is a journey, and for me, it all started with my first experiences with art in elementary school. Now, as I move into my senior year at Bellaire High School, I am applying to colleges that will educate me in the digital arts to prepare me for a career as a professional in this field. I hope to expand on my artistic abilities to allow myself to grow from being a simple graphic designer and traditional artist to using my traditional skills as a digital artist.

I enjoyed being able to express myself through art as a medium, and I wanted to pursue art as a profession to have the opportunity and privilege of being paid to do the very thing I love most. Attending art college would provide me with a multitude of opportunities to both pursue a career in art and develop as a person and artist. Being able to receive a dual degree would provide me with a diverse and broad learning community that would allow me to grow immensely as a student and future professional. With a variety of tools at my disposal, I will be exposed to new situations and information that will inspire me as a future artist. Furthermore, I hope to double major in two subjects that are very different, as this would give me the benefits of a rigorous education in both fields and a versatile skill set as I enter the job market. While art has always been my primary passion, I am very interested in business and science subjects as well. In college, I hope to take my skills within traditional art and translate them fully into the digital medium, and as a professional, I want to bring a part of myself into my artwork and become an inspiration for those trying to achieve the same goals within the fine arts. Because the very nature of my desired career path is interdisciplinary, I hope to bring a sense of passion and drive to the community at my future college and workplace. As an artist, I have always valued having a diverse range of experiences to draw inspiration from, and I hope to implement this into my art and impact other artists as well. Overall, I hope to expand on my artistic abilities to allow myself to grow from being a simple graphic designer and traditional artist to using my traditional skills as a digital artist. As a professional artist, I hope to use my diverse skills, knowledge, and experiences to make a name for myself and impact the world in a positive way, and further honing my skills would certainly help me achieve my goals.

The effects of DUIs are from the suspicion that you have ingested alcohol and you are under its effects while at the wheel. They put it into place to keep people too far under the influence from being able to use their cars, but this doesn't always catch everyone who drives drunk. Preventing them is actually very simple and a good thing to practice. When with a group, you can pick someone to not drink for the allotted time to be able to drive everybody back to their homes. When by yourself or also with a group, you can simply just get a cab. There is always a way to get back to your home without you getting behind the wheel and getting not only you, but your passengers and surrounding pedestrians in danger.
