Throughout my childhood up to early adolescence, I was fortunate enough to attend Hershey Montessori School, a farm based education. There, I learned the importance of Earth's ecosystems, and just how vital it is for humans to fight to protect our planet. I developed my passion for advocating for climate change through the hands-on work of developing hydroponic systems, studying the importance of pollinators and wetlands, and overall thinking of ways to protect the environment for the future.
As a society, and more importantly, as humans, the priority should be working to preserve and protect our environment. The causes and consequences of climate change, including higher global temperatures, increased greenhouse gas emissions, and the risked health of global communities, are becoming more apparent. Because of this, it is vital that global action is taken to ensure the health of Earth's ecosystems, in order to secure a future where the biodiversity of the planet is protected. It is necessary to develop a global sense of unity regarding climate injustice in order to ensure that all communities are being protected against the issue.
Combating the climate crisis will be most effective if nations work together to share their knowledge and resources. Working together to create plans to produce more sustainable energy, implement strategies to combat increased greenhouse gas emissions, and threats to biodiversity, will prove to be the greatest strength against the climate crisis. The effects seen as a result of this crisis are events that are seen globally, but are not restricted to borders. We are fortunate enough to have the technology available to be able to combat climate change, and by making the importance of our environments globally known, we will be able to make real and meaningful change for the future.
