My name is Gaby! My passions include art, fashion, traveling, music, and volunteering.
When I was seven years old, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor known as a Craniopharyngioma. I cope with many chronic health issues including, panhypopituitarism, diabetes insipidus, and hypothalamic obesity. I have memory issues, trouble with comprehension, anxiety, and constant fatigue that affect me daily.
I have done everything possible to push myself in school. To achieve this, I have taken 10 AP classes and rank in the top 10 of my class of over 700. I have earned the President’s Outstanding Academic Excellence Award, Academic Letter Year 1-3, College Board National Hispanic Recognition Program Winner, National Merit Commended Student, Scholastic Art & Writing Award Golden Key, Scholastic Art & Writing Award Honorable Mention, and the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy in English and Spanish. I was the founder and president of CHS Fashion Forward Club and served as an officer in Key Club and Art Club.
Currently, I am a student at The University of Alabama studying Apparel Design. I have been able to remain on the President's List for the past 4 consecutive semesters. I am a member of Sigma Kappa, the Student Fashion Association, and the Hispanic Latino Association.
