Bio

I Freddiemae La'faith Thompson consider myself to be an excellent candidate for this scholarship because of my diligence while working with others, my compassion for others and my will to strive for success in every situation. As I complete my journey as a high school scholar I plan to excel in the professional world as well as in my personal life. My career aspirations include becoming a certified medical doctor in the field of Nephrology. After experiencing practice in this field, my next aspiration is to found and open my own hospital, Thompson Care. The mission for my hospital would be to provide every patient with the best care possible by showing knowledge and concern for each and every need involving the patient. After operating and owning one successful hospital I plan to pursue opening Thompson Care locations across the United States. Raising a successful family alongside my future husband is a personal goal I hope to fulfill in my adult life. Although my main career aspiration is in the medical field I believe that I could use my ability to connect with others in the field of politics. I express an extreme passion for equality and the proper treatment of all individuals. I further connect this belief with my main passion of being a Christian and serving the Lord. By being able to show love through Christ I have the ability to treat others with compassion and respect currently as well as in my future occupations. I believe that by selecting me you will be entrusting your funds to someone who is dedicated, understanding, intelligent, patient, industrious, and honest.

    Impact Scholarship for Black Students
Introducing The Freddiemae La’faith Thompson Have you ever met a Freddiemae La’faith Thompson? If you have not then I will gladly introduce you to one I know personally. My family as a whole most would say is a strong church-going family. Serving the Lord was something that I quickly picked up on as a small child. Growing up I learned that singing, speaking, and teaching the word of God were ways of worship. I can honestly say that my Christian roots have stuck with me even as a teenager. As a dedicated scholar, I have faced numerous challenges and oppositions, however, I learned to preserve. I know that by continuing to strive for excellence, even in the midst of trials and tribulations, with God, my leadership ability, and hard work I can and will achieve my career goals. In this world, there are numerous causes and moral beliefs that I feel passionate about. Some of those include my Christian faith, my belief in the importance of quality education for all, and of course the importance of the mental, emotional, and physical well being of others. My name is Freddiemae Thompson and I aspire to be a doctor due to my longing for better and more affordable health care for all backgrounds of people. Pursuing the health of the public is part of my vision. With the will to work hard, show compassion for all, and follow God’s word, more people can and will be healthy. I have developed an idea that would positively influence the medical field for people all across the world. I have the aspiration to own hospitals across the world that provide free health care services for all people. People from across the globe would be able to receive free healthcare through my hospital Thompson Care. My series of hospitals, Thompson Care would consist of quality health care services, a welcoming and spacious layout, and of course no bill necessary for care. Patients would not have to worry about unsanitary conditions because my hospital would have strict rules to assure that all patients are safe and properly cared for. My hospitals would have bright, encouraging, and inspirational messages throughout the hospital. Thompson Care would be a place of hope. Despite the fact that patients are sick, my staff and I will make it our mission to ensure the best possible stay for our patients. With this idea, a number of nurses, doctors, and specialists would be able to apply for a position at Thompson Care. To ensure that my patients would be in the best care possible all applicants would have to meet high standards in order to work for my hospital. Various medical doctors would be interviewed because I would want my hospital to have both primary physicians and specialists so that all patient needs will be met. Beyond excelling in medical school and passing the MCAT, I would need to feel that the applicants have a sense of care and concern about the patients. After developing a strong team of doctors, we would treat patients whenever necessary just as other hospitals do. However, in order for the medical services to be free, I would first make a business plan with the government and persist that we help, especially people who may not be able to afford proper health care easily. With persuasive commercialization and government funds, my patients would be able to access free health care and all employees would be well paid. The desire to own a free hospital is due to my passion for seeing the sick get well and not wanting to see anyone struggle financially to afford healthcare. Since I was four years old, I knew that I wanted to be a doctor. I grew up around a family that has a history of health issues. Some of the health issues in my family include diabetes, kidney failure, and heart issues. As I grew older my dream grew larger, and I realized that I not only wanted to work in a hospital, but I also wanted to own hospitals. As I was debating names for my hospital my mother and I came up with Thompson Care. After doing research, I learned that Canada is successfully providing free healthcare services for its citizens. In Canada, their ten provinces and three territories finance and run a statewide healthcare system. Research such as this as well as my great involvement in school are tools that will guide me in successfully running hospitals. Science courses and leadership in clubs such as FBLA are prominent examples of activities I am participating in currently to ensure success for my hospitals in the future. Once I am fully educated and medically qualified, I will make my proposal for free health care to the proper government officials. I would suggest to the US that I believe that if each of the United States’ fifty states could properly finance the money then there would be enough money to provide free healthcare services or all of their residents. My new idea further encourages me to continue my studies in science/medicine, business, and communication. When I consider the fact that one day my idea may help someone physically and financially with their medical needs it adds a strong sense of value to my idea. With the help of God and my strong/structured leadership, the cycle of unfair pricing for medical attention will be ceased. Through the thought and success of Thompson Care, I will go further and produce more advanced medical ideas that would help patients respond to treatments well. I will continue to think of ways to make this idea a reality. This idea will continue to help me feel encouraged about the future plans and possibilities that I can help make healthcare services free for all.
