    I want to put all my effort into my future, I want to improve my skills so that my potential can be achieved. Time has flown since my alarm clock screams at me to get out of bed every morning as a young boy, my best memory was describing myself as an engineer. After graduation, I want to move to college to develop myself, get more experience, and focus on myself. I have always loved traveling to new locations and I hopefully find a job in an engineering field. After graduating, I want to develop the skills that will help me accomplish the success I’ve always wanted to accomplish. I will work as hard as I can, and I will do what it takes to get there. I am going to approach everything in life with a positive attitude and a lot of excitement. I strongly believe I am going to be a successful person in my whole life. I want to start making my wishes come true by obtaining my bachelor’s degree from Texas State University, Once I graduate, I aspire to follow my dream by starting my career before graduating, and I believe that will make me more successful. I know I will be prepared for a good life by all my college Professors. After graduating I want to be known at the end of the journey as a hardworking person who achieved all the goals she wished and made a major difference in individual lives. My goals are not to gain the highest or the highest pay, although I’m interested in learning and gaining knowledge. Time management will be essential in my career in the sense that I will need to schedule a time for my career and home life. Time management allows me to keep my stress levels low by making sure that I have a complete schedule for everything that needs to be done every day. My time will be applied wisely and I will display my efficiency to those I work with. I am a natural decision-maker and have no problem making difficult decisions with large responsibilities attached to them. I am not a passive individual and my active leadership personality is unmistakable. I am not a lead-by-orders type of person but rather a lead-by-example. I want to be active in the community and make a difference in our society. Most importantly, I want to enjoy each day I spend in the career that I have chosen.

    Growing up in a low-income household can be a challenging experience, but it can also shape who you are in many ways. Like me coming from a low-income family, I often face obstacles that have impacted my education, health, and overall well-being. However, these challenges have also provided valuable life lessons that have helped me to become more resilient, resourceful, and determined to be a successful person in life. One of the most significant ways that growing up in a low-income household can shape your character is by teaching us the value of hard work. Me coming from a low-income family often see firsthand the effort and sacrifices my parents make to provide for their basic needs. I learned early on that nothing comes easy and that success requires dedication and perseverance. This work ethic can serve them well throughout their lives and help them achieve their goals. Another way that growing up in a low-income household can shape your character is by teaching the importance of community. In many cases, my low-income family relies on our neighbors, friends, and extended family members for support. I learned to value and appreciate the people around us and develop strong bonds with people in our community. This sense of community can provide a sense of belonging and support that can help me navigate the challenges of life and others. My future goals well My first goal is to go to college and get a degree. I plan on attending Texas State University and majoring in engineering. This is my number one future goal that I need to accomplish because to be able to have a nice life, I need to go to college to support my future family. My next future goal would be to get a starting job to be able to support my future family My final future goal would be to go back to college to get my Masters's Degree in engineering. As technology advances into the future, I would need to go back to college to update myself with the new technology. Finally, growing up in a low-income household taught me the importance of resourcefulness and creativity. When money is tight, we must find ways to make the most of what we have. Coming from a low-income family I learned to be resourceful and creative in finding solutions to problems. This skill can and will help me in all areas of my life, from my education to my career and my personal relationships. In conclusion, growing up in a low-income household can be a challenging and not-so-fun experience, but it can and will provide valuable life lessons that will shape you to be a better version of yourself. The experiences of hard work, community, and resourcefulness can help you become a resilient, determined, and successful person
    @normandiealise #GenWealth Scholarship
    Generational wealth refers to any kind of asset families pass down to their children or grandchildren, whether in the form of cash, investment funds, stocks and bonds, properties, or businesses. Generational wealth provides a foundation upon which families can build more stable financial futures. People who inherit generational wealth have a significant financial advantage over those who do not. They likely can avoid student loans as well as other types of costly debt. Instead, their inheritance could go towards income-generating investments, assets that appreciate, or even towards purchasing their first home. However, it’s not easy to maintain generational wealth across several generations. Research shows approximately 70% of families lose their capital in the second generation while 90% lose it in the third. Not great odds for building sustainable wealth over several generations. There have been many obstacles preventing people from creating generational wealth. One of them is that we come from a poorly disadvantaged background. It makes it harder for us to create wealth for ourselves let alone our descendants. In my family, generational wealth was never a priority. My grandmother, grandfather, aunts, and uncle worked in Nigeria. Many of my ancestors stressed to their children the importance of hard work and perseverance but never knew or understood the value or significance of creating and passing on generational wealth. It is my mission to ensure that my younger family members prioritize this concept and work to assure future generations know about and strive to create generational wealth. Generational wealth is important because you have more freedom to think and live the life you want when you don’t have to worry about paying your bills or whether you can afford to quit a job that doesn’t fulfill you. I plan on achieving Generational wealth by investing in the stock market, Investing in the stock market provides an opportunity to build wealth passively and protect my money from inflation another plan of mine to achieve Generational wealth is investing in Real Estate, real estate can provide cash flow opportunities for me Other ways I plan on using to acquire generational are Opening a business and taking advantage of life insurance is also a good way to achieve generational wealth I also plan on achieving generational wealth by also getting rid of any debts because paying down debt is a great idea. But any debt that bears an interest rate of more than 10 percent should be prioritized.

    My grandpa passed away about a year ago in July just days before my 18 birthday. It was a normal morning, me and my brother were getting ready for school when we heard a noise from downstairs. I went down to go and see what was happening yet everything seemed somewhat normal except that my grandpa's chair was empty and he wasn’t in the kitchen either but the noise was louder from the living room. When I walked in, I found my grandpa struggling to breathe on the couch. He looked at me with such fear in his eyes and I didn’t know what to do. I yelled out for my brother, he got downstairs and once he saw my Grandpa he was in tears and panicking. he told me to go get his phone and mine and then call mom while he called the ambulance. I tried to stay calm while he was telling my mom she had to get home and that grandpa needed her. I could hear my brother talking to the emergency line caller and doing all the sensory tests to check on my grandpa who’s now calmed down and was able to somewhat talk yet couldn’t move as much. After putting down the phone, I checked on my grandpa who kept telling me we had to go to the hospital. The emergency caller told my brother that there would be an hour delay on the the ambulance which wasn’t enough time for my grandpa. We called our uncle who told us to call our cousin to come and drive grandpa to the hospital which was 30 minutes away plus added road works. My cousin had arrived a few minutes after being called and we had gotten my Grandpa into the car with my brother next to him in the back seat. I had managed to grab his phone and glasses before leaving. I was holding tight to my Grandpa’s belongings. We had been on the road for a bit yet it felt like hours as roadworks stopped us and the morning traffic of people trying to get to work and school didn’t help. We had put on our hazard lights trying to get people to move yet we were ignored by everyone. We had told my mom to go to the hospital and tell them to get a bed ready for Grandpa, but just 20 minutes out my Grandpa had passed out and was choking again. Maybe a minute after he went silent and mentioned less at the back of the car. My brother started to scream for him to wake up constantly yelling Grandpa yet he didn’t respond. I finally saw the sign of the hospital and we saw my mom and ambulance workers waiting for us outside the emergency entrance. The car stopped and we got out as the workers did their job getting our Grandpa out and onto the bed. My brother hugged my mom as I walked down the road and sat on the pavement crying, hoping my Grandpa will be fine. For roughly 30 minutes, we had been taken to a waiting room where my uncle had come and sat with us while we waited for a doctor to come and tell us what happened. A man finally entered the room holding a clipboard of documents. I prayed in my mind that everything would be fine and my Grandpa would be awake in the room waiting for us. But, when the doctor told us he hated to be the bearer of bad news, I just sat there as he told us that my Grandpa had passed away. I don’t remember much except the moments when I was brought to the room he was kept in. I hated how there were wires connected to him. I couldn’t bare to look and he felt cold, unlike the warm feeling my Grandpa usually had. Maybe a week after his death we finally found out my grandpa had heart disease and died because of a blockage causing him to have a heart attack. After my grandpa's death, I found it hard to go to school yet I still managed. But I feel that a lot of people don’t understand what I’m going through and expect that now I shouldn’t be upset anymore which isn’t true. I know it’s hard and I still struggle today, but no one is alone and you shouldn’t feel ashamed to talk about how you feel or the loved one you have lost.

    Financial literacy is knowledge gained about financial matters. I have been learning about money matters for several years to prepare for life apart from my parents. Financial literacy is like any other learning, an ongoing process, yet I am aware of several sources for that education. I have watched and been instructed by my parents over the years in financial matters. I have also used other tools to become financially literate. I have taken classes for credit, participated in the family budget plan, and joined groups that inform people about wise money management. As a high school senior, I am currently enrolled in an economics class. This class has helped me to see the larger picture of trade and the economy. The knowledge of supply and demand can build an awareness of prices and interest rates. As an online student, I have taken a math class that included practical aspects of money management. It addressed debt and interest rates. I learned about compounding interest and loan rates. By taking this class, I feel prepared to navigate the loan process, first to finance my education and in the future to help me with my dreams of owning a home. It is my goal to avoid the overload of debt. My participation in the family budget process has prepared me to live under my means. A budget allows one to see all income and expenditures in a compact form. Budgets do change with time and increases in income or expenditure but should never be consistently in the negative of the income For instance, I will practice techniques on how to budget and save, take advantage of learning resources, learn how to maximize profits in the stock market, and learn from people who have already achieved their financial goals. Budgeting and saving are the most important techniques to know for becoming financially literate. Warren Buffet, who is regarded as the most successful investor of the 20th century, is noted for his frugality. Although I learned about budgeting and saving money at a very early age, even though I didn’t fully appreciate these skills until my senior year of high school when I had to put them to practice. Being financially literate also means knowing about the stock market and how to secure wealth through investments. I took an investment class in my junior year in high school and I received an A. Aside from aviation, I enjoy finance. There are many online programs where I can learn about investing. I plan to invest in companies that I know about, such as aviation-related companies and then as my knowledge grows and I start to feel comfortable I hope I was able to give a better understanding of financial literacy. Thank you

    My name is Folarin Azeez but you can call me Emmanuel I am here to talk about how my teacher changed the way I carried myself. In my freshman year of High school, My Spanish teacher, Sandra Delgado, changed the way that I carried myself through life. Even though the career I plan on doing In college has nothing to do with Spanish, taking her class taught me about self-discipline, taking risks, and making friends. On my future best friend’s first day at a new school, Ms. Delagado grabbed me and told me that I was sitting with the new guy during lunch because she didn’t want him eating alone. From that day on, we had lunch together every day. I was in her classroom every day. Ms.Delgado has always had an amazing way of making you feel important because she gives her students an incredible amount of responsibility and trusts them to do what is right. For example, she takes huge groups of students on international field trips regularly, which, as a high school teacher, I can’t even imagine doing what she does she make time for every student in her class even whenever I see her in the hallway she stops me to have a conversation which a lot of teachers don't do. I plan on using the lesson she taught me in my everyday life because life is all about taking risks if you don't take risks you will not achieve anything also to never give up you should always try your best and don't be scared to ask for help because there's no perfect human being Ms. Delgado has always been honest about who she is and what she stands for. I plan to maintain a healthy relationship with her even after I graduate from high school. I appreciate her so much because of how she puts her all into her relationships with her students and continues those relationships as long as she can. Finally, Mrs. Delgado has made an impact in my life that I will not forget soon because without her i would be struggling a lot of times even when there is no time she makes the time to talk to you to see how you are doing and makes sure I am good sometimes even when my grades are not looking too good she makes sure I am doing okay in all of my classes so once again thank you, Mrs. Delgado

    Helping people is a sign to them show you care. I am sure everyone has helped someone else at least once, as it is a common thing. In this essay, I will state various times when I have helped someone. Like many people, I have a sibling. He is younger than me so I help him many times. I help my brother with many things such as helping him with his homework, keeping him entertained when he is bored and ensuring his safety. At lunch, while I was enjoying my delicious sandwich my brother came up to me and said that his friends were running away from him. As an older brother, I was alarmed and angry with those who upset my little brother. So, as most people would do, I took my brother's hand and he lead me to his friends. I told my brother's friends that this was an impolite thing to be doing and was unkind. As I was a senior in school, my brother's friends did not argue and started to play with my brother. Another instance when I helped someone, was when I spotted a girl a little younger than I was who was injured and crying on the footpath. I approached her cautiously and bent down to ask her what had happened. She told me that she was going on a jog alone but she slipped and grazed her knees and hands and that now she couldn't get up. I straight away knew what to do. I asked her to calm down and not move so I could go and get my parents to assist her. Once I had gotten my parents and some bandages she told my parents what her parent's phone number was. We told the girl's parents where she was, and within five minutes they had come and picked her up. You can help people whether you know them or not. Usually what I feel is that after you help someone you feel happy about what you have just done. So go and help people in need because it will help you to feel happy too.
    Athletics Scholarship
    How have athletics positively impacted my life? As I conclude my senior year of high school, I approach my final Stages of competing as a high school athlete. Although this incredible chapter of my life is coming to an end, the lessons I learned, the values I gained, and the character I built will persist into the next chapter of my life. High school athletics is at the forefront of my best, most nostalgic, and heartwarming memories From being one game away from making the playoffs to going to win one game the next year, the bad and the good alike, these are the memories that I love and the time I will miss. The lessons I learned from these moments are what shaped my life and what drives my ambitions. The most important lesson I learned through high school athletics is how to overcome adversity found that attitude alone can resolve a problem. I learned the real purpose of forgiveness is to free yourself from the suffering and irritation that is holding you back. High school athletics has also given me the ability to work outside of my social group and build relationships with individuals I otherwise would have never met. As an underclassman, I looked up to the upperclassmen as the perfect role models, and I can say without a doubt, these boys changed me as an individual and as an athlete. Thanks to athletics, I built friendships that will last a lifetime. Now, as a player of two sports teams, I find myself leading and shaping my teammates. Seeing my teammates; my brothers, grow, improve, and succeed, I can see the differences that I am making in their lives. From double-session football workouts and practices to seemingly impossible basketball workouts, I have learned the value of hard work. Athletics is not about winning rather it’s about improving as an individual and growing as a team. It’s about seeing how far you can push yourself and your teammates without giving up. Athletics has taught me to persevere when times get tough, and that success does not build character, failure builds character. High school athletics has been one of my greatest teachers and one of my biggest passion. I am forever thankful for the memories, the values, and the lessons I have gained from them. However, I was never alone in my journey. I will be forever thankful for the sacrifices my parents, coaches, and teammates made for me; their sacrifices along with the values and lessons I learned shaped my life, and I don’t know where I would be without them. Thank you.

    I plan to further my studies after high school graduation by going to texas state university so I can have a degree in mechanical engineering so I can become an automotive engineer. I plan on working extremely hard to get that degree because I know whenever you work for something you are going to get it. I plan on achieving them by applying for scholarships because I come from a low-income family who strive to make sure all 5 of us in the house eat and since there are going to be 3 of us in college next year I also plan on applying for an automotive internship while in college because with the internship I can gain experience and with experience comes wisdom. some of my career goals would be to design a car for the future, With my career in automotive, I also plan on starting to learn how to build my car from the engine to the body of the parts of the tire. I hope with just a little bit of myself and my career goals I was able to convince and show you how serious I am about furthering my education and getting a degree
