When I was 8 my parents got divorced, leading me to grow up in single parent household.I took most of the responsibility as the oldest to take care of my younger siblings. To care for them , feed them , and clean the house.Because, my dad was always working night shifts as a CNA. I believe the struggles I have felt before had inspired me to go into a career in which you are selfless, intelligent, passionate, and caring.
All of these traits can be pertained to a single career ; nursing. I would love to be a nurse practitioner, the idea of attaining knowledge that can help someone in their hardest times , gives me chills.I admire nurses as being the backbone of any hospital.Specifically I am thinking of going into the ER. I am still a senior so this is subject to change.By attending clinical's I hope to solidify the specific area of nursing.
I don't expect getting my master to be an easy journey, but I am willing to give the time and effort to succeed.I do believe that I will be worth it in the end , but till then I will take it one step at a time and remind myself that there are many lovely ladies that have been in my shoes before.
