As a Latina, I have seen many struggles and difficult situations throughout my life that a Hispanic family can go through in this country. My parents risk their lives to come to this country for me and my siblings. My goal in life is to become a Social Worker and work in the Hispanic Community, helping many Hispanics find their way in this country full of opportunities. I love helping people and that five me the motivation to become a Social Worker. I am more passionate to help the Hispanic community knowing the challenges and the struggles that they go through in this country. I want to make a difference in my generation and let them know that even though we were born in this country and have so many opportunities we should never forget the reason why we are here and where we come from. Thanks to my parents, I value their hard work and the support that they give me everyday and for them I want to be the best Social Worker I can be.

Bold Career Goals Scholarship
Living in a country where all your dreams can come true and all opportunities are accepted, was really what I thought growing up. My parents always tell me the life changing story of when they had to leave their country and their families to give me and my siblings a better future and a better education.
I’ve seen so many struggles a Hispanic can go through in this country and one of them is immigration. I’ve had the privilege to go to my dad’s and my aunt's immigration appointments and I’ve helped them by translating. That’s another struggle Hispanics go through in this country and it’s the culture and the language. I am fluent in both Spanish and English and it’s something that I am very proud of because it’s a way that I can give back and help them in a country where the language is very different to them.
I love helping people and that gives me the motivation to become a Social Worker so I can help many people, but I am more passionate to help in the Hispanic community knowing the challenges and the struggles that they go through in this country. I want to make a difference in my generation and let them know that even though we were born in this country and have so many opportunities we should never forget the reason why we are here and where we come from. Thanks to my parents, I value their hard work and the support that they give me everyday and for them I want to be the best Social Worker I can be.
Bold Gratitude Scholarship
As a daughter of Hispanic immigrants, I live each day with gratitude for my parents, for coming to this country, risking their lives everyday to give me and my siblings a better future. I am very grateful first with God because he has given me a healthy life and many blessings and second with my parents for every support and everything they do for me and my siblings.
My parents are a big inspiration for me because they left everything in their country to come this this country and as my mother says, to give us the world. Being a U.S. Citizen, it gave me many opportunities and the privilege to travel the world and my parents risk everything to give me and my siblings a better future and the world. I want to become a Social Worker to help people. I am passionate in helping the Hispanic community because I know the struggles and challenges a Hispanic person can go through in a very different country.
I am very appreciative for all my family, go supporting me and helping me be the person I am today. There is no money or gift that can relate to the gratefulness that I am with them, but I want to help the Hispanic community in many ways and for me it’s a way to give thanks to my parents and my family and a respect for my country.
I give thanks to God for giving me the best parents and the best example of life because without them I have no idea where I would be today. Thanks to them I’ve always had food on my plate and shoes on my feet.
Thank you mom and dad, love you.
