Personally, my goals in life are to help as many people as I can so they can achieve what they want in life without mental health getting in their way. This is why I would love to be a psychologist and it's why I am working extremely hard to pursue my career and go to college. As a first gen, this path has been extremely difficult, but I'm doing whatever I can to ahcieve this dream of mine. I would love all of the help I can get and very much appreciate it!

Art is a way in which people can express themseleves, but yet, they can give other people's joy through their expressions. Personally, the way I want to make a postive on the world is by creating art works that are political and personal. My art work helps me express myself and what I have gone through in life, but other people can resonate with my art. In my life, I have gone through traumatic expereinces that I have been forced to kept quiet about, but trhough my art I am able to show what my struggles have been like. Yet, many other victims can also feel a connection to my art and do not have to feel alone in their own struggles. However, this also allows people who have not gone through my struggles to look into what it's like to be a victim.
Art, even though it's just colors, shapes, and abstract pieces, mean a ton of different things. It's all like pieces to one big puzzle, but the puzzle has a lot of meaning. This is why I create many art pieces that are personal. It is like a creative outlet where you can put you truth down on a piece of blank paper. Your truth is spoken through colors and shapes, but yet, it still meas something.
Art can aslo help people understand important issues. For example, political art can help people have more compassion for those who are struggling or even just important topics in general. For example, there are many artworks out there about climate change. Climate change is cocmpletely real and art and paintings can show the devistating effects of climate change. Other political art, like #MeToo art, like what I draw, can help inspire many women to come foward about their stories. As well as this art can help show that they are not alone in their journeys and struggles. Another example of politcal art is art that shows what immigration is like. Many people struggle to immigrate for better lives. Yet, they are harshly criticized by tons of people. Nobody knows what harsh struggles they go through, but art can convey these hardships.
This is why I make art. I make art to show people that they are not alone in this world full of hate and struggles. I make art to represent the people who have no voice. I make art to show and help change people's minds about heavy topics. To some people art may just be shapes and colors and random doodles. However, art has a menaing, it has a purpose. My purpose is to make art and help as many people as I can with it. My purpsoe is to inspire others to go out there and make their own art to have their voices be heard with these paintings. I hope to be able to make more art seeing as right now, people need a distraction from what is happening in the world. People need something to look at and to be inspired by. This is why I make art.
