My career goal is to become a well-rounded software engineer and eventually specialize in Artificial Intelligence (AI). I am also looking into building a startup that focuses on making a positive impact on our society.
My interest in my intended field started when I realized I enjoy Mathematics and any form of analysis. In 2019, I started reading Economic journals to learn about market and business trends. Later on, I found out about Data Science in which people use data analysis. With Data Science involving Computer Science (CS), I started to delve deeper into programming. I learned a lot of interesting CS concepts and decided to major in CS and Mathematics. Later that year, I volunteered to teach programming to underserved K-8 students. Currently, I'm in the process of applying to transfer to a research university.
I became a NASA Aerospace Scholar in 2019. Since then, I have been actively participating in NASA Aerospace Scholar activities. In the summer of 2022, my team and I presented our research on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) to NASA industry experts at NASA Ames Research Center.
I held two positions during my time of leadership for the LRCCD Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). I held the position of President, and before that, Vice President—Technical Operations. I was able to bring in 200+ people into the association during my time as the Vice President—Technical Operations. During my time as the President, I led the logistics of running the association with our events reaching the students of all four colleges of LRCCD.
