Connie Konatsotis Scholarship
From when I was a young child, to today I have always loved teaching people. I love seeing that lightbulb go off in their eyes when they finally understand an idea. How amazing it is when you can help someone understand such complex ideas. I want to continue to do that in the future. I have always had a fascination with science. However, science is a difficult concept to grasp. I want to be able to help others understand it and love it the way I do. I want to be able to help people grow in their understanding each and every day. I can do that in the classroom with my future students. This scholarship will not only change my life by helping me pay for college, but it will also change the life of every student that I will ever teach. That fact alone is much more rewarding to me than anything else. I want to help people. I want them to do well and be successful in life. My passion is for people. I love making a difference in their lives. I am very hard-working and committed when it comes to both school and work so this scholarship would not go to waste! I am a very goal-oriented person who continuously strives to reach the next step. I believe my next step is to teach. I want to pursue teaching because I want to make a difference in people's lives and this scholarship would help me do that. Every single child learns in different ways. Because of this, teaching is such a difficult job. There are so many little details that cause each student to be completely different. Teaching is such a challenge because you have to find ways to balance each student's individual needs while teaching them all at the same time. That is what I am most excited about. I want to be able to help each child individually when they are in school. School should not be just another task in their life. It should be something they look forward to daily. It will be my goal as a teacher to not make school a burden to my students, but a blessing. School should be something that is not dreaded because learning is amazing. That all starts with the teacher. As a teacher, I want to be able to inspire my students to strive for their goals. I want them to know that no goal is insignificant. I also want them to know that they matter and that they have a purpose. I want to help them strive to do what they love.

"Oh the fate of Gen-Z," Millennials may say. Most Millenials have no trust in the upcoming generations. Why is that? They don't believe that we will last. Why is that? Millennials refuse to trust Gen Z. Why is that? Gen Z is so excited because we see potential in the future! Millennials may complain that we spend too much time on electronics; computers and phones alike. They have no right to complain, they have made these resources available for us to use. They cannot complain that what they have made so accessible to us is now what is holding us bad. In fact, that is what is going to give us a leap ahead in the future. Millennials have created our foundation. Now it is up to Gen Z to build the sky-scraper. We have been left with so much potential. I cannot but imagine incredible things to come in the future! We have all the resources we need to solve many world problems. Perhaps at the moment, we do not even fully know the potential we have, but we will. Only time will tell as we put our heads together and scheme for the future. Hope is what will push us forward to success.
