FinalistBio
I am a 15 year old reader, writer, singer/songwriter, musician, actor, soccer player and theoretical physics enthusiast. I have interests in the arts, literature, science and law. I look for opportunities where I can contribute and make the world a better place. I am an honors student, a CREAVO member of the VOENA children's choir, a Credo High student council member and a member of Credo High's Drama Club. I am also the founder of Credo High's A Capella club. Soccer has been suspended this year due to COVID-19 but I have plans to play again as soon as it is safe to do so. I am thankful for the love and support that I receive from my family, friends and teachers.

Kap Slap "Find Your Sound" Music Grant
Everyone wants money. That's a universal truth. However, most people want money in order to do nothing. I'd like money to do more.
Music is the only thing I want to do. If money wasn't an issue, I'd be recording an album I've already written, just with the help of a professional inside a quality studio. I want to create a work that lasts- even if it's just one album or collection of songs, I want to contribute something to the world knowing that it's top quality.
My whole life, I've grown up listening to people's stories and songs; whether indie, rock, country, pop, or jazz, everyone has one record that represents them. No matter what is written in the past or future, that one record alone is an extraordinary contribution to society because it's theirs. There will never be another like it, because each person is a unique individual.
It may be ambitious, but my dream is to spend my life striving for that one record. It would be an honor to reach at least a single listener; to write a song that seems to soundtrack their life, that they fall in love to or dedicate to a friend. If there's no big breakthrough, there'll still be some success- if you shoot for the stars, you can at least land on the moon.
But success isn't the point. I love making music, and being able to continue that would mean the world to me. However, money is a limitation.
So, if money wasn't an issue, I think that is what I would do. Spend the rest of my days writing and producing music, hoping that it will impact at least one life for the better.
