Flying has always been my dream. The sky calls to me, and I long to be part of it, soaring among the clouds. Along with aviation, I love crafting, crocheting, painting, drawing, and calligraphy—activities that allow me to express my creativity. I also enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures, broadening my perspective.
I am deeply involved in leadership roles at school. As Vice President of my FFA chapter, I help guide our team in agricultural education. I also lead the Fellowship of Christian Students, fostering a supportive environment for my peers. Leadership has taught me valuable lessons in teamwork, responsibility, and service.
Each summer, I go on mission trips to help those in need. One memorable trip involved building a house for a family in Mexico, which was a deeply rewarding experience. I also love working with children. I’ve had the opportunity to teach extracurricular activities for K-5 students, including Vacation Bible School and Agriculture Club, where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and learning from their curiosity.
Through all these experiences, I aim to grow personally while making a positive impact on others. Whether in the sky or the community, I strive to lead, create, and inspire.

I hold a Student Pilot Certificate and am diligently working toward earning my Private Pilot License. In October 2024, I achieved the significant milestone of my first solo flight, an experience that strengthened my confidence and passion for aviation. I am now focusing on cross-country flights as part of my training and have currently logged 36.1 flight hours. Every hour in the cockpit brings me closer to turning my aviation dreams into reality.
The skies have always captivated me, stirring my imagination and filling me with a sense of wonder. As a child, I would lie on the grass for hours, watching the clouds drift by, transforming into horses, dogs, and flowers, each shape more magical than the last. Birds soaring effortlessly overhead inspired me with their grace and freedom, leaving me yearning to experience the world from their perspective. Even then, I knew the sky was where I belonged—not just as an observer, but as someone in command, navigating the vast expanse above.
That dream began to solidify when, at 13 years old, I experienced an EAA Young Eagles discovery flight. It was the first time I had the opportunity to sit in a cockpit, and the experience was electrifying. As I took the controls, I felt a powerful combination of exhilaration and purpose. It wasn’t just about the thrill of flying; it was about finding a sense of belonging. From that moment on, I was determined to turn this passion into my life’s work. I set my sights on earning my private pilot license, pursuing a commercial license, and eventually exploring the limitless opportunities aviation has to offer.
Today, as I advance through my private pilot training, my passion for flight continues to grow stronger. Every lesson, whether it’s learning a complex maneuver or refining my takeoffs and landings, deepens my understanding and appreciation for aviation. Beyond the technical skills, this journey has taught me discipline, patience, and resilience. Each hour in the cockpit brings a mix of challenges and triumphs, pushing me closer to my dream and solidifying my belief that I am on the right path.
Looking ahead, I aspire to follow in my father’s footsteps and join United Airlines, a career path that has inspired me since childhood. My ultimate goal is to captain a Boeing 777 or 787, flying across oceans to connect people and cultures. There is something profoundly fulfilling about being part of the journeys that bring families together, enable adventures, and open new opportunities. Aviation, for me, is about more than just the mechanics of flight—it’s about creating connections and making a difference in people’s lives.
I know the road ahead will be demanding, filled with moments of doubt and setbacks. In those times, I will remind myself of the little girl who looked to the sky with awe and dreamed of being up there. Her wonder and determination fuel my drive to succeed.
Aviation represents freedom, exploration, and boundless opportunity. It’s a calling that intertwines my personal dreams with a greater purpose. I am excited to embrace the challenges and rewards of this field, knowing that every step I take brings me closer to a life spent among the clouds.

Arthur and Elana Panos Scholarship
God has carried me through some of the hardest times in my life. When I was in ninth grade, my best friend—someone as close to me as a sister—was struggling deeply with her mental health. She spent most of that year in and out of treatment centers, caught in a cycle that felt impossible to break. Every time she came home, my friends and I would gather around her, doing everything we could to support her and hold on to hope. But after a few weeks, she would slip back into her struggles, and the cycle would start again.
I prayed constantly for her, crying out to God to heal her and help her get back on track. Her pain felt like my pain, and watching her spiral was devastating. At times, it felt like God wasn’t listening. Things only seemed to get worse, and I couldn’t understand why my prayers weren’t being answered.
Then came the moment that shattered me: she stole a car, crashed it while drunk, and ended up in prison. It felt like the final blow. I thought, God, why didn’t You step in? Why didn’t You do something? For a while, I was angry and confused. But as time passed, I began to see things differently.
While she was in jail, I struggled with what felt like the collapse of our friendship. She wrote letters to me, but they were often filled with lies, and I could feel the trust between us crumbling. At first, I tried to hold on, but eventually, her letters stopped reaching me entirely. I now believe that was God’s way of separating us, even though it was painful. He knew that the friendship was no longer healthy for me and that letting go was necessary for me to heal.
For a long time, I felt lost, like I’d lost a part of myself. But slowly, God began to fill that empty space with something new. He brought new friends into my life—people who were kind, supportive, and shared my faith. Unlike my previous friendship, which drained me as I tried to fix things, these relationships built me up. We encouraged each other in our walks with Christ, and I found a sense of peace and joy I hadn’t felt in a long time.
Looking back now, I can see how God was working all along. What felt like the worst thing that could happen—losing my best friend—was actually a turning point. After I let go, he worked on me as well as my friend, who is now on her path to recovery and redemption. If God had answered my prayers in the way I wanted, I would have stayed in a toxic relationship that was holding me back. Instead, He led me to a place of growth, where I could strengthen my faith and find true community.
This experience taught me a powerful lesson: God’s plans don’t always match our own, but they are always for our good. Even when it’s hard to understand, His way is better.
As I think about my future, I can see how God will use this story. I’m working toward becoming an airline pilot, and I know I’ll have moments to share my testimony with people I meet. My journey—one of pain, growth, and God’s faithfulness—might be what someone else needs to hear. What once felt like a loss has become a story of hope, and I’m grateful to God for that.
