I am the 2021 Sterling Scholar for English at Davis High School, which I graduated from in June of this year. My overall GPA is a 3.76, and my overall ACT score is a 25. I am hardworking, creative, and kind/caring, which are my three most dominant traits. I enjoy writing of any form as well as reading and studying topics that interest me. My college goal is to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing so I can accomplish my lifelong dream of becoming an author for young adults. I will begin attending Weber State University this August. In my free time, I work part-time, attend Girl Scout activities, write, and make jewelry.

Patricia Lea Olson Creative Writing Scholarship
I have chosen to study creative writing because it has always been my dream to become an author. My long-term goal is to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in creative writing so I can make this dream a reality. My short terms goals are to finish the novella I am currently working on (it is halfway completed, and written for fun), begin attending college this fall to start on my degree, and begin sharing more of my work with others. My hope is that I can do all of this successfully, with some help from time to time from teachers/mentors, friends, and family along the way. I wish to entertain, uplift, and inspire others through my stories, and I hope that they enjoy the worlds I have built from the heart.
