my name is Diego Luna, I am eighteen and want to pursue a degree in construction management. I've always been fascinated with the work of construction. I love seeing things from start to finish. It is always satisfying seeing the results and must feel meaningful and magnificent. Though if I was being honest I grew interested in this major because of my dad from a young age. My dad is a disabled veteran who served in Iraq right after 9/11. Once he got back he got out of the military and went straight to university He attended North Carolina A&T pursuing construction management. My dad would drive every day to school and back. I remember when he would wake up around five to get ready because he was so loud getting up. I could hear him from the thin walls of my room. His time in college felt like an eternity to me as a child but soon later he would get his bachelor's degree he always dreamed of showing to his parents and us. I've never felt so inspired and proud. He soon later got a job offer in Wyoming and we were so proud. The only downside was that he couldn't take us with him so we spent a year without him. My dad would soon realize that he couldn't pursue the career that he wanted and changed his career and we were forced to move in with our grandparents for a while. This inspired me to finish his footsteps for him. Even though I want to take his role I have many goals and plans I want to do in the future and help the community. First I plan to gain my experience from school and work then someday become a founder of a construction company. I want to build my company and make the environment fun and make it feel like a home and not just a 9 to 5 job. I want to make volunteer centers in small towns to help people in need and make parks for the children and keep them in maintenance, etc. there are many things I want to do in the construction field but those are just the small thing. I know the world is evolving and faster each year. I always want to be one year ahead of everyone and be on my toes and that's what I'm going to show my family. my hard work and dedication.
