Hello! My name is Diamond Nangle. I chose to pursue a BA in Graphic Design and 3D-Modeling to become an animator. I am passionate about the degree of my choice: so that I can continue doing the thing that I have always loved to do, which is art.
Additionally, growing up: art has always been a positive outlet for me. For instance, even when times have gotten rough: art has helped me to express myself in various ways. In which, I felt could not be expressed verbally. To add on, by pursuing this degree: may I be able to have a healthy way of expressing myself through my work. So, I will be able to be fulfilled: doing what I know and love.
To go on, I am very happy pursuing my degree. Since I was a little girl, I grew up being so fascinated with cartoon characters and Disney princesses: such as, Cinderella or Tiana. I would stare at the television and get my sketching pad and draw everything I saw on the screen. Soon after, I developed a strong liking for art and animation, in general. This helped me to strengthen my skills as well: since my passion and hard-work went hand in hand.
Moreover, by pursuing my career: I would be doing what I do best. My career can also make me strengthen my creativity and artistic skills by: allowing me to devote my time and effort to my greatest passion. I am happy to pursue the degree of my choice because it will help me to stand out in my field by having a BA in Graphic Design. In summary, this degree will help me to stand out in the animation industry.
With my degree, I will be able to forge a better life for myself: since I come from a low-income household. Pursuing my degree will help me to make a better life for myself. Also, I am passionate in my path: since it will help me to find better jobs for myself, with my bachelor's degree in graphic design. In conclusion, my degree will help me to feel satisfied in doing what I love. Eventually, my degree can help me reach better job opportunities.
In summary, I am most passionate about pursuing my bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and 3D-Modeling: as it will open me up to better opportunities as a young black animator in the animation business.
Walking In Authority International Ministry Scholarship
My name is Diamond Nangle. I am college freshman and I'm inspired to get involved with my community: to help them out. By giving back to my community: can we continue to grow and flourish. I have started volunteering to help those in homeless shelters. For instance, by giving food to the homeless fills a belly for the night. Anyone could end up homeless. So by lending a hand to someone, shows humanity.
I have worked to influence change in my community by buying black products to support black businesses. By doing so: I am able to support growing black businesses and to give back to my community. This helps us to have more black-owned products. This benefits my community by: supporting black entrepreneurs and businesses.
Additionally, I'm inspired to help my community by helping those who are like me succeed. In hopes of offering my support, may there be more black entrepreneurs and black-owned businesses. This will help benefit my community. By buying black-owned products: can we see more black CEO's.
Therefore, I am profiting my community by: buying their products.
Also, I have worked to influence a change in my community: by donating money to the poor. From doing so, I have high hopes for those in need: to have food, water and to have homes to sleep peacefully, at night. This will help my community to not suffer for lack of food and shelter. Moreover, this can also influence others to help each other, too. Therefore, this influences my community to live better lives from donating money to help them out of poverty.
To add on, to be influenced to help my community means to aid in the development of myself. By helping others: may I be able to help myself become a better person for my community. I bought McDonald's for a homeless woman on the street that needed food to eat. All in all, this helps make someone's life: by even offering someone precious food.
Occasionally, I would go and try to support growing black entrepreneurs as much as I can and by buying their products. It seems as though the little things: eventually, add up. It matters to help my community: since representation matters to me very much in the business world. In conclusion, helping and aiding others makes a life easier and better. Since no one knows what another is going through: it doesn't hurt to lend a hand or an ear to someone who needs help.
Erica’s Angels Scholarship
Hello! My name is Diamond Nangle. I come from a low-income household. I started playing volleyball when I was in elementary school. It has helped me to make new friends and to connect with others. It was also a great way to let off some steam when I was feeling stressed or overwhelmed in high school.
By playing volleyball: I learned to work in a team-based environment. It changed my old perspective; to viewing things as a whole, rather than staying single-minded. The actions that I took could affect the others on my team. My actions could change the game: into a win or a loss. The importance of friendship has benefited me very much.
By having friends who have supported me along the way has encouraged me to be a more positive individual. By being a friend to those in need I've become a better person.
Friendship has helped me through the toughest times by aiding me to figure who I am. Furthermore, it has shaped me in such a way: to figure out who my people are. My supportive friends have helped me through storms and tribulations. By having healthy supports: contributed to my inner strength with handling stressful situations.
By continuing to play volleyball with my friends: I have learned to cooperate with others. Also, to work as a team. I will continue to apply volleyball to my life by evaluating how my every action impacts others. In a way, making friends and playing volleyball really did support me to feel more empathy. Additionally, to think of how some of my actions can have certain consequences on myself and others.
One day at school, I saw a girl who needed help. She seemed visibly upset. It seemed to have been that she had trouble hitting the volleyball over the net. I offered my assistance and showed her the correct way to hit the ball over the net. Clenching both fists: hand in hand. She finally hit the ball over the net. It made my day when I saw how gleeful she was: that she finally made that volleyball go over the net. She was the girl on our team.
By helping her out, we ended up winning the game that day. We jumped in celebration and hugged each other. That was when I knew I should continue to help others. Even the little actions we make: tend to make a BIG difference.

Hi there, I'm Diamond! I am a undergraduate freshman student at Southern New Hampshire University. I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. This is all thanks to my mom! Let me tell you a little about her. Ever since I was a child: my mother has always supported me. Through thick and thin: she has always advocated for me, when the world was against me. I was the bullied child in junior high school: and when no one cared, she advocated for me.
I was depressed for quite some time throughout the whole duration of my adolescence. It felt impossible for me to feel comfortable in my own skin. Everyday felt like I was a laughing stock. Even after graduating: I was happy but the effects of bullying gave me social anxiety. To elaborate: social anxiety is the fear of public spaces.
My mom has been keeping me strong: telling me it's going to be okay and by taking me to get the treatment I needed. She also tells me to read her positive affirmations that she writes on the fridge daily. She tries her best and it really does help. My father has never been in the picture ever since I was a baby. So I do not know anything about him or my other family. Even though it was hard for mom to raise me alone: she has triumphed over these challenges.
She continued to make me feel loved and cherished. She made me love Christmas with her nice gifts every year. She made me grateful for every moment that passes by. My dearest mother helps me with my loans and with my finances. My mom is really the only reason: I have made it this far today.
Additionally, thanks to my mother: I continue to be an ardent and growing learner. I will never stop learning and I will continue to grow. Everyday I learn so many things: from problem-solving math skills to understanding the effects of global warming; and irrigation. She has taught me to give to those who are in need by: donating to the needy. She also taught me to care for animals, too.
She continues to help and support me through all the phases of my life. By supplying me with books and school supplies. Also, by serving as a mentor when I have trouble understanding a problem at school. I will further my higher education to pursue my dreams of becoming an animator. Thanks, mom!
