Hello, my name is Destiny Pinnock, and if you did not know, Destiny means "the hidden power believed to control what will happen in the future or fate." By no means can I control the future, but I do know who does. His name is Jesus and giving my life to Him was the best decision I ever made. Being a Christian in high school is not at all easy. Not only do people mock your morals and beliefs, but acting like Jesus is in itself a challenge. Sometimes I treat people so rudely that they could hardly believe that I was a Christian. I want to spread the word of God using my Art and Musicallity, and through these scholarships, I believe that I will be able to spread the message of love that God left with us to better the world we are in now. While I am nowhere near being like Jesus, there are teachings that he left behind that we can all relate to and can bring us all together in unity.
