My academic journey has been driven by an unwavering passion for learning and a relentless pursuit of excellence. At the age of 16, I decided to dually enroll in community college while completing my high school education. This experience allowed me to explore a wide range of subjects and discover my interests while gaining valuable college-level experience. Through hard work and determination, I’ve earned recognition on the Dean's List for three consecutive semesters and graduated high school with a certificate of Merit.
I know for certain that my life’s goal is to help others, nothing more nothing less. I want to pursue a career that lets me be of use to others and make a difference in the world. There are endless possibilities that you gain from going to college as opposed to just being a high school graduate. I crave to make a substantial difference; a difference so impactful that it lasts for generations to come. I would make an amazing candidate because I am an incredibly ambitious person who never backs down from an obstacle. I take all my resources to my advantage and complete whatever task is at hand. I have extremely high expectations for myself and I am destined to fulfill all of them, no matter how difficult the road there is.

I’ve always believed that the greatest joy in life comes from giving back to others. From a very young age, I was taught the importance of serving my community, and I’ve carried that lesson with me throughout my life. Growing up, I spent countless hours volunteering at food pantries, helping organize community events, and spending time with the elderly — learning from their wisdom and offering companionship. These experiences have shaped who I am today and have instilled in me a deep passion for service.
For the past five years, I’ve been blessed to work in childcare, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Children have an incredible way of reminding us what’s truly important in life — kindness, curiosity, and love. I’ve watched them grow, overcome challenges, and find their unique voices in this world, and I’ve had the privilege of being a small part of that process. Every day, I am reminded of the impact we can have when we show up with compassion, care, and patience. It’s my heartfelt desire to continue to shape young minds and hearts, nurturing them so they can thrive and make a positive difference in the world.
My faith plays a central role in everything I do. I’ve always leaned on God’s understanding rather than my own, trusting that He has a plan for me and for every person I meet. In times of uncertainty, I find peace knowing that I don’t have to have all the answers because He does. My sense of purpose comes from Him, and it’s through His guidance that I’ve been able to commit myself fully to my education and future goals. I started taking college courses at just 16 years old, and while the journey has been challenging, I know that each step I take brings me closer to my dream of becoming a teacher.
I want to be a beacon of light in a world that can sometimes feel dark and overwhelming. As a teacher, I hope to offer encouragement, support, and guidance to the next generation, helping them to find their own purpose and to navigate life’s challenges with faith and resilience. I want to be someone they can turn to when they need a word of kindness or wisdom, and to inspire them to live with compassion and grace.
At the core of everything I do is a deep belief in the power of love and service. The world can be hard, but I know that when we choose to give — whether that’s through small acts of kindness or larger efforts to uplift those around us — we create ripples of positive change. I’m committed to living a life of service, and I will continue to pour into my community, my students, and those in need. With God’s guidance, I believe we can all make the world a little brighter, one act of kindness at a time.

Failing my driver’s test at 17 was more than just a setback; it felt like a crushing blow that magnified the sense of disappointment and frustration that had lingered in my heart for so long. Since high school, getting a driver's license seemed like a symbol of freedom and independence — something I longed for deeply. But the reality of my situation seemed hopeless, and I couldn’t see a way forward. I had dreams of picking my friends up for football games, going out for lunch with them, or enjoying late-night drives, but those dreams seemed farther out of reach as time passed.
Driving was a daunting challenge for me, but it wasn’t because I lacked the desire to learn. It was because I lacked support. My family was reluctant to help me, and their refusal to teach me or even give me access to a car left me feeling alone and abandoned. It seemed as if they expected me to magically figure it all out on my own. I felt hopeless, as if my dream of getting a license was slipping further away with every passing day.
As the expiration date of my permit loomed just two weeks away, I felt an overwhelming sense of panic. I felt unprepared, and when I failed the test, a wave of hopelessness and despair consumed me. I felt utterly alone, convinced that the dream of driving was a goal that would forever be out of reach.
In that moment of deep disappointment, I turned to God. I knew I had to trust Him, even when everything around me felt like it was falling apart. The frustration and isolation I felt began to lift as I realized that I wasn’t truly alone. God had been with me all along, even in my darkest moments. I decided to surrender my struggle to Him, knowing that His strength would guide me through.
I took a step of faith and made a conscious decision to try again. This time, I knew I needed to trust not only in my own effort but in God’s plan for my life. I had to set aside my pride and seek help where it was available. I reached out to friends who were willing to assist me in their spare time and worked hard to save money for private driving lessons. Through this, I learned valuable lessons in patience, time management, and perseverance. While working a part-time job in high school, I had to make sacrifices — missing out on senior events and social activities — but I kept my focus on the greater goal.
In those difficult times, I reminded myself of God’s promise in Philippians 4:13, *“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”* I kept telling myself that with faith in God, I could persevere through this challenge, no matter how hard it seemed. I refused to give up, knowing that if I kept trusting in Him and kept doing my part, I would eventually reach my goal. Even when things got hard, I stayed committed to the end.
On October 4th, 2023, I finally received my driver’s license. But it was more than just a piece of paper. It was a testament to the strength I found through faith and the unwavering trust that God had a plan for me. This journey taught me that while I may not always have the support of others, I always have God’s love and guidance to carry me through. When I trust in Him, I am never truly alone.
