I am a high school graduate on my way to Berklee College of Music! I have been playing piano for 10 years and singing for 4 years. I will be studying music therapy while attending Berklee. I chose music therapy because I am passionate about using music as a tool to heal from physical and emotional trauma. I have had the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall with my school's chamber singers as well as performing in a number of shows and recitals. All of these experiences have helped me grow as a pianist and musician but, unfortunately, Berklee is extremely expensive. On top of this, my financial aid package only pays for a fraction of the total tuition. I have been applying to scholarships as well but with mostly no luck! I hope you will support Me in my journey!

My name is dawud bloomstein and I am a recent graduate of Maine Arts Academy high school and a classical pianist. During this year of school, the senior class was tasked with creating a capstone project that reflected all four years of our high school careers. Since I am a piano major, I wanted to create a piece that not only reflected my growth as a pianist but also how we as artists can use music as a tool to heal from mental and physical trauma. At first, I wanted to create something absolute epic but then I thought it would be better to have a changing piece. so I made it have a fixed bassline and an improvised melody. Thank you for the opportunity!
