Hello, my name is Da’Brawn Woods, and I am a high school student at Delta Academy, graduating this year. I am interested in pursuing a career in medicine as an anesthesiologist. I want to become a doctor because it is my life goal to help others and improve their lives. Coming from an underprivileged background has inspired me to give back to the community. In the future, I am interested in participating in organizations such as Doctors Without Borders. I am also interested in pursuing a career in government later on in life, where I can create bills and put initiatives into effect to better the lives of those struggling to get by. I am passionate about increasing diversity in the medical field. Diversity in the medical field is essential because diversity brings new ideas. Diversity in the medical field is also important because I know some patients, such as my grandpa, prefer to have a doctor who looks like them, and diversity in the medical field makes those patients feel more comfortable. I am a great candidate because I am a hardworking student. I actively work to improve diversity on my community college campus as an intern by helping with diversity events, developing initiatives, and allocating funding for cultural club events. I tutor underprivileged students and help them study for tests, complete their homework, and learn new things. Thank you for considering me.
