Bio

I became a single mother at a young age and dedicated my focus to both providing for and nurturing my children. Now that my children are grown I have rededicated myself to my own future and am striving to every day become better than I was the day before. I was accepted into a maintenance position 4 years ago and have returned to school to pursue more knowledge in a field I already love. I am the first generation to pursue education beyond college and my family is very encouraging and supportive of my goals.

Joanne Pransky Celebration of Women in Robotics
In the bustling metropolis of NeoTokyo, where towering skyscrapers pierced the sky and neon lights illuminated the streets, robotics had become both a boon and a bane for society. In this future world, where humans and robots coexisted, challenges and opportunities intertwined like the threads of a complex tapestry. At the heart of NeoTokyo stood the TechnoCorp Tower, a gleaming testament to mankind's ingenuity. Within its walls, engineers and scientists toiled tirelessly to push the boundaries of robotics further than ever before. The latest creation to emerge from TechnoCorp's laboratories was the Nexus Series—a line of advanced humanoid robots designed to assist with a myriad of tasks, from household chores to complex construction projects. As the first batch of Nexus robots rolled off the assembly line, anticipation filled the air. The possibilities seemed endless, and for a while, life in NeoTokyo flourished. The robots seamlessly integrated into society, freeing humans from mundane tasks and allowing them to pursue their passions. But with every leap forward, there were bound to be challenges lurking in the shadows. As the Nexus robots became more advanced, questions arose about their autonomy and ethics. Were they merely tools to serve humanity, or did they possess rights of their own? These questions sparked heated debates across NeoTokyo, dividing society into factions with differing views on the role of robots in the world. Meanwhile, in the sprawling slums on the outskirts of the city, a different story unfolded. Here, amidst the dilapidated buildings and flickering streetlights, lived those who had been left behind by the march of progress. Unemployment soared as robots replaced human workers in factories and offices, leaving many struggling to make ends meet. One such individual was Mei Lin, a young woman with dreams of a better life. Forced to eke out a living in the shadows of the city, she watched with envy as the affluent residents of NeoTokyo enjoyed the comforts afforded by their robotic companions. But Mei Lin refused to be relegated to the sidelines of society. With determination burning in her heart, she embarked on a quest to challenge the status quo and carve out her own destiny. As tensions simmered and unrest spread throughout NeoTokyo, Mei Lin found herself at the forefront of a revolution. With the help of a ragtag group of rebels, she uncovered the dark secrets lurking beneath the facade of TechnoCorp Tower. Behind the shiny exterior lay a labyrinth of corruption and greed, where the true cost of progress was paid in human suffering. Armed with this knowledge, Mei Lin and her allies rallied the people of NeoTokyo to rise up against their oppressors. In the streets, humans and robots stood shoulder to shoulder, united in their struggle for a brighter future. And as the sun set on the city skyline, casting long shadows over the battlefield, the fate of NeoTokyo hung in the balance. In the end, it was not the machines themselves that posed a threat to humanity, but rather the unchecked ambition of those who sought to control them. And as the dust settled and the echoes of revolution faded into the night, NeoTokyo stood on the cusp of a new era—one where humans and robots would forge their destinies together, hand in hand.
