I am a high school senior in a small 2A school in Beckville, Texas, home of the #1 most incredible community on Earth. God, family, and baseball are what my life revolves around. I have set high goals for myself and push daily towards making them a reality. I recently committed to play baseball at Centenary College of Louisiana where I will continue my studies and work to achieve a degree that will allow me to apply to law school. I hope to be an attorney close to my hometown so that I can help contribute to the families that live there.

My Identity as An Athlete
An identity, an interest, or a talent is what usually defines someone. Playing sports was a part of my life from a young age. I played soccer, baseball, basketball, and football. Throughout my life, I
have always had a hobby that has turned into a passion for making life more enjoyable. Baseball
has always been a big part of my life and has provided me with unique experiences and
tremendous people who have become like family and a future.
From the beginning, baseball has always had my heart. From little league to potentially
college baseball, I have always found joy in playing the sport. Baseball has defined my character
throughout my life, and overall, I believe it made me a better person. With baseball being a team
sport, I have been able to interact with many different individuals throughout my childhood. The
sport has given me life-long friendships, righteous coaches, and even some friendly rivals. One
of my biggest mentors growing up has always been my baseball coach. Coach Jeff has not only
been an exceptional mentor and coach, but he has always treated me like one of his own kids,
making a significant impact on my life. Without his mentorship and guidance, I would not be the
man I am today. He has not only been a monumental instructor who has taught me the skills and
knowledge of the game but a role model who has taught me life lessons.
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate enough to travel to many different places
and gain life-changing experiences. One of my favorite memories has to be traveling to Omaha,
Nebraska, to participate in a World Series Baseball Tournament. Not only were we playing
baseball, but we were also required to stay as a team in dorms. During this time, we bonded and
grew as a team together which ultimately helped us to later go on and win the tournament. I was
fortunate enough this past summer to be able to travel to Atlanta, Georgia, for a college
showcase. Not only were the baseball games and team bonding fun and adventurous, but I also
enjoyed getting to see the hometown professional league Atlanta Braves in action for a game.

Watching professional athletes is a neat experience, for the players are not just playing for fun
anymore; it's their job also. Being able to live through events like these is just another reason I
love the sport of baseball.
Not only has baseball changed my way of life in the past, but it has also changed my
future. Growing up, every kid's dream is to play their desired sport at the next level, and my
dream has always been to play college baseball. Going into my senior baseball season, I have
signed my letter of intent to Centenary College of Louisiana to fulfill my dream of playing at the
next level. I am thankful for the opportunity, and I look forward to seeing what God has in store
for me and my baseball career.
As you can see, baseball has been a huge part of my life. From meeting and playing with
some of my best friends, to all the tournaments and events I've attended, and even the
possibilities of what's in store for the future. I owe everything to the sport, for it's always been
there for me. Baseball has been and will always be “My Identity."

Millennial employees embrace civil rights that guarantee equal chances and fair treatment in the workplace because they are part of a generation that is regarded as the most diverse and inclusive in history. The following are some of the most significant civil rights that millennial employees must consider: Fair compensation for equal effort is one of the most important civil rights that millennial employees emphasize. According to millennials, there should be no discrimination in employee payment based on gender, color, or other characteristics. Non-discrimination: Millennial Generation employees support civil rights that forbid discrimination in hiring, promotion, and termination decisions. They contend that all employees should be evaluated based on their knowledge, expertise, and experience rather than their color, gender, religion, or other traits.
Last but not least, millennial workers prioritize civil rights that guard against sexual harassment at work. They consider that sexual harassment should be prevented and addressed by companies and that all employees should be treated with respect and decency.
Millennial employees prioritize civil rights that uphold justice, equality, and security at work. They think employers should be held responsible for fostering these values in the workplace and treating all employees with respect and decency.
Certainly, millennials must be knowledgeable about their legal rights at work and how to safeguard themselves against harassment, discrimination, and other offenses. Due to the fact that many millennials are just beginning their careers or entering the workforce, it's probable that they require assistance knowing all of their rights and safeguards. For instance, millennials need to know the rules and laws against discrimination based on color, gender, age, religion, and disabilities. Suppose they feel they have been the victim of harassment, discrimination, or retaliation at work. In that case, they should know how to file a complaint with the “Equal Employment Opportunity Commission” (EEOC).
There are numerous ways for employees to ensure they are aware of their rights and how to safeguard themselves at work:
Please read the policies and procedures of the business: Workplace rights policies and procedures, such as anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies, safety guidelines, and processes for obtaining accommodations or family leave, should be reviewed by employees with their employer.
Attend workshops and training sessions: Employers may offer workshops and training sessions that cover workplace rights and obligations. Attending these workshops will help workers understand their rights and how to defend themselves against harassment, discrimination, and other offenses.
Learn about state and federal legislation: Employees should become familiar with the “Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act” as well as other laws about workplace rights. They can look at official websites or speak with a lawyer to learn more.
Speak with HR or a supervisor: Employees should speak with their human resources (HR) representative or a supervisor if they have questions about their rights or concerns about workplace infractions. These people can offer direction and assistance and help workers comprehend the precautions they can take to protect themselves.
Consult a lawyer: If employees feel their rights have been abused, they may need to consult a lawyer. Attorneys can offer legal advice, assist employees in understanding their alternatives, and, if required, represent them in court.
By performing these actions, employees can make sure they are aware of their legal obligations at work and can defend themselves against harassment, discrimination, and other infractions. Employees must be knowledgeable, aggressive, and vocal about perceived rights violations.

Baseball is my first love. Competition, bonds, and friendships are built, and the ability to better yourself as a person throughout life are just a few of the reasons my days revolve around the greatest diamond on earth. There is so much more to the sport of baseball than a ball, a glove, and some bases. As a competitive person, I have enjoyed competing at many levels over the years. I started playing as a three-year-old in rag ball, moving onto t-ball for two years where my team was the Dixie League State Champions two years in a row, to a machine-pitch Dixie League State Champion as an eight-year-old, to deciding to play travel ball as I walked away from the city league for a more competitive environment. My appreciation for my parents runs deep as they have afforded me opportunities to travel across the state of Texas and more recently on a national level. The memories and experiences I have endured have been extremely beneficial to me as a person. I have found and developed several lifelong friendships throughout the many years of playing the sport I love. The game of baseball and the experiences I have been able to acquire have taught me what hard work is, the importance of teamwork, and how to deal with success and failure properly. Baseball is definitely a game of failure and many lessons on adversity have been achieved over the years. Putting in effort and time outside of regular practices is a must if you want to improve to be the best player possible. I have dedicated many hours to the weight room, track, batting cages, and private lessons to get to the baseball player I am today. I also find it beneficial to watch baseball whenever I have the time. I enjoy watching and learning from college and MLB teams, too. Being humble as a winner and walking away from a loss with a lesson on how to do it better next time, are some of the hardest things to accomplish as a player.
Over the years, I have enjoyed playing on multiple teams. High school has been a unique experience because there is such a range of skills compared to travel ball. I continue to play the "hot corner" at third base but also close out a game as a pitcher from time to time and also play first base some. It has allowed me to step into a leadership role and help those in need of great improvements. Taking on a leadership role has allowed me to pass along some of the many lessons I have learned over the years to my fellow classmates and peers. Being able to play with students in my small town has been a fun experience that is definitely less nerve-racking than some of the games I have played! My travel team is like my family. Our roster consists of players from South Texas to East Texas, each offering a variety of strengths. We have spent the last four summers together, and I have enjoyed every minute! I hope and pray I am able to continue to play the greatest sport on dirt throughout my college years.
My favorite all-time player is AJ Minter. He has family ties to the area where I am from and have lived my entire life. He is currently a pitcher for the Braves which has become my favorite baseball team over the years. I have been fortunate enough to catch some home games at Truist Park in Atlanta while attending tournaments in the area during the summertime.
