Hello, my name is Christian and I am a current senior studying biology at St. John Fisher University. Some of my passions include human health, community service, reading, and sports! I will be attending medical school this August in hopes of serving in under-resourced and underserved communities as a healer!

    • Residential Assistant: To serve as a resource and supervisor of different residential halls for our on-campus students. I put on a variety of different community building programs that focused on personal and community development.

      St. John Fisher University — Research Assistant: During my time in Dr. Hurd’s lab, I focused on photobiomodulation and the TBXAS1 gene in C. elegans. Photobiomodulation is a laser light therapy that can promote muscle growth and has a variety of clinical applications.

      Golisano Children's Hospital — Research Assistant: Alongside Dr. Nayak, I had the opportunity to study COVID-19 positivity rates in children across New York State. Our study focused on defining the prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 infection in various segments of our population.

      St. John Fisher University — Research Assistant: At our current fossil fuel usage, in just a few short decades, we will run out of its supply. This fact is what led me to join Dr. Ignatchenko’s lab where I have studied the deoxygenation of bio-stock.

      Golisano Children's Hospital — As a volunteer for the Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics center at Strong Memorial Hospital, I worked with children with a variety of developmental and genetic disorders, including Autism and Down Syndrome. I served as a tutor and friend.

      The Friendly Home — My role was to sit and conversate with many of the members of the Friendly Home. To hear their stories and make them feel felt and loved. To value them and make them feel cared for.
