Since the day I entered this world, I have been exposed to music. My mother used to play music for me when I was a baby to lull me to sleep. I loved music before I knew what it even was. I contribute this to my mother, though. She has always loved music and transferred that love to me. My father loved music as well, from what I've heard, he would sing to pass time. I don't know much about him, but I know that I've received the music gene from both parents. So to say that music is important to me is an understatement because it has engulfed my life and shaped who I am.
If I'm not in school, I'm at my local theater, practicing for or performing in a show. You might also find me at my church, singing and playing the guitar in the church youth band. Any chance I get, I'm trying to further my Musical Theatre education in order to pursue my dream of being a Broadway actress, an artist, and performer.

Meet Chunk! This little guy is an English Bulldog! We fostered him in 2020 from a group here in Texas called San Antonio Bulldog Rescue. Chunk had been passed from home to home, foster to foster, and finally found his way to our family. He had a lot of health issues, like severe hip dysplasia, jaw deformities, etc. so he was in need of lots of love. But after spending so much time with Chunk, we absolutely fell in love with him and decided to adopt! Chunk has been such a blessing and an important part of our family.

I have really never enjoyed being simple. Just being one single girl who has one personality and one look all of her life is not a life I've ever wanted to live. I know that's why I have chosen theater as my passion and honestly, it was inevitable that this is where I would end up given my love for being other people. Let me explain what I just said. I love being other people. You read that right and don't get me wrong, it doesn't mean I don't like being myself. I love the life I've made for myself so far, but I have never wanted to be confined to just being Cheyenne Tharp. I have a passion to create and become characters and throughout Elementary School, Middle School, and High School, and through years of community theater, I have had the opportunity to experience a wide range of theater. From musicals, to plays, to improv, to student-made productions, all of these performances have just solidified my belief that being a performer was what I was born to do. I have discovered a fiery passion to entertain and share my talents with others and I believe that I am the most spiritually fulfilled when I'm on stage.
For about 6 years now, I have been the lead vocalist and guitarist in the Colonial Hills United Methodist Church youth worship band. I have been going to church there since I was 8 and have been blessed with so many opportunities to praise the Lord in sharing my talents. Being a part of the youth worship band has been so rewarding and it is something I now hold dearly. I have met so many sweet souls at my church and would like to say I have been able to touch many hearts there. There is no other feeling like spreading love through music and I want to hold on to that feeling as long as I can.
Now, as I have fallen in love with the art of drama, I am moving forward in life towards Broadway. And while I know the New York Broadway stage is the most difficult one to get onto, I have always been one to take charge and take on the challenge. The most powerful message that I had ever been told was that "Someone has to be on Broadway, Cheyenne, and why can't that be you?". Why can't that be me? Is the question that has motivated my whole purpose from that point onward. I intend to be that woman on the Broadway stage. This is one of my most important goals in life, but another very important goal is eventually coming back home to my church. Covid 19 has separated our members and now, as I am going off to college soon, I won’t get to visit my church family very often at all. I want nothing more in this world than to run off to New York, live my dream, and then bring all of my blessings back to the place where I fell in love with worship. Colonial Hills United Methodist Church has done so much for me, they raised me to be the Christian I am today, and I intend to give back to that lovely community.
