Hello! My name is Charles, and I come from Montreal, Canada, but I grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs, attending parochial school from Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade. I was actively involved in my school and community, participating in various clubs, playing soccer and tennis, and engaging in community service. Outside of school, I pursued interests such as cooking, photography, and playing guitar. I discovered my passion for engineering in my senior year of high school through an introductory engineering course. My professor’s engaging teaching style sparked my interest, leading me to pursue the field. Now, I am in my third year of a five-year program at Drexel University, earning both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering through the BS/MS program. Initially undeclared, I chose mechanical engineering because of my fascination with how things work and the field’s hands-on nature. At Drexel, I stay involved in campus life as a member of ASME, Engineers Without Borders, Drexel SAE EV, and the Engineering Leadership Scholars (ELS) mentoring program. I also gained professional experience through a six-month co-op at HNTB, a transportation firm, where I worked on various infrastructure projects.
