My appeal to Mathematics Education began during my freshman year of high school. My honors geometry teacher, Mr Schneider, was unlike any other mathematics teacher I have encountered. With his unique mannerisms and style of presenting information, he created an environment in his classroom that made learning enjoyable. He single-handedly ignited my passion for learning during the year, and I genuinely looked forward to his class every time I walked into my school. As I moved through high school and into junior year, my Honors Math IV teacher, Mr Olson, had a similar effect on me. Their dedication to the art of teaching has inspired me to strive for a career in secondary education to inspire my future students and the drive that I received as a student. I know that with the diverse community of my chosen college, I will be able to continue supporting other students in the future, as I was. I know my longing to teach will be appreciated, and I will be empowered to make a difference in secondary education mathematics with the resources available to me on campus. There is a desperate need for math educators at the high school level, and my enrichment in the field of education at my chosen college will give me the resources to supply the education system’s demand for qualified high school-level math teachers.

My perfect ending of "The Bear" would develop each character's story into a satisfying resolution. Carmy would accept his brother's death, and support his restaurant by maintaining mental peace and finding true joy in the simplicity of cooking. Michael would still be remembered with aspects of the restaurant memorializing him, but the restaurant would still embrace the future and become a beacon in its community. With Carmy's approval, Sydney would become independent and start her very own restaurant. However, this wouldn't ruin Sydney's relationship with Carmy, as they both respect each other's drive and passion for the art of cooking. Richie would stay in the restaurant, finally feeling in place in the establishment and reconciling with those he has hurt. In the series final moments, I imagine a montage would take place, showing off each character as it progresses. The montage would encapsulate all of the character's growth and how it has shaped them into the content and fulfilled person they are now. A fast-paced and heated instrumental would play alongside the montage to match the show's raw energy. At the end of the montage, the team would be setting up for close, and the camera would pan out to the lights turning off after yet another successful night. This would bring a sense of continuity to the audience and instill hope for the future. This finale captures what makes "The Bear" unique and compelling: the everlasting passion you can feel in each cast member, the importance of family, and the purpose of struggle. It would satisfyingly resolve each character's arc of the show, and hint towards a future season with more to offer.
