I'm a person with many talents at a young age. My current passion is diagnosing and fixing vehicles. I have a 1989 Chevrolet S10 Blazer that I maintain myself and daily drive. I would love to make this more than a passion and into a career.

Michael Hinrich Memorial Scholarship
I am applying to this scholarship because ever since I was young, starting at the age of approximately of 11, I have an interest in vehicles. Through our my interest my father helped me with it including showing me how to diagnose basic issues to even letting me fix things with him. I've have worked on a variety of different size machines such as a motorized weed whacker, to as large as a Chevrolet 2500 and many in between. Currently I own a 1989 Chevrolet S10 Blazer that I maintain and daily drive every day. I've own a couple of smaller vehicles as well. Unfortunately though I never got the experience of building a go kart, which most people have had access to.
Your question to me might be, why would this benefit me? Well I plan to go to community college to expand my knowledge on automotive. I plan to use this knowledge to help my community both, directly after college and even years after. Also without scholarships I'm not sure if I'll be able to pursue this dream due the cost of college currently. In conclusion I would greatly appreciate your consideration to nominate me for this scholarship.
