Bio

To begin, I am a senior at Buford High School. I live with my mom and have two older brothers. I have a few goals in life, but my biggest goal is to succeed for my family. I want to bring my family out of poverty and give them the life that they deserve. I want to help out my mom so that when she gets older she won't have to worry about anything. I also aspire to have a life with no worries as my second biggest goal. If I were awarded a scholarship it would mean that my family would have to worry less about my finances, and it would allow me to focus on my studies.

An experience that sparked a period of personal growth and a new understanding of myself was when I had my first football practice at Buford High School. It was the first stepping stone to a long path of headaches and mistakes, though it truly taught me the importance of understanding myself, and looking up to others for guidance. It began my sophomore year when my friend asked me to sign up for football. During that semester, I started working out and put on a couple of pounds of muscle. I worked up a lot of courage to talk to Coach Appling since I had never played football in my life before. And so it began during the second semester of sophomore year; I started attending after-school workouts for the upcoming season. It was a tough couple of weeks, but I soon began adapting to the new movements with my newly-acquired muscle mass. I noticed that as the weeks went on, I made new friends due to being the new guy, and everyone wanted to help me out. Football practice began in the spring, and everyone was looking forward to it except me. During this, Coach Appling assigned me a position as a linebacker. At that time, I had no clue what that was. I began my first practice as a player on a Monday. The sky was clear and blue as the ocean. It was the time of spring when it wasn't hot, and I think that allowed me to survive my first practice. I noticed that everyone was gigantic compared to me. I began to realize that it was going to be a long day. That day we had a few thud periods, and I remember the first time I had my first thud. It was by my now-friend Gonzo. He weighed around 40 pounds heavier than me and was more fit than me. We began a tackling circuit where we had to run up to each other. At the point of contact, he picked me up from where I was standing and lifted me to the sideline. I ended up doing it once again but with a different player. After a while, I became more resilient and wanted to tackle more, but I wasn't the best at it. My first practice as a football player is a day that I remember by heart. It showed me that I needed to hit the weight room more. It showed me that there are a lot of talented individuals who are great friends and teachers. It showed me that football was more than just a sport; it was more of a large family.

The greatest contribution that I could do to improve the health of others is the development and implementation of community healthcare programs. These programs will have a profound impact on society, particularly in underserved areas, and I am incredibly proud to have played a role in making healthcare more accessible to those who need it most. When I began my career in healthcare, I. I enjoyed my work, but also recognized hospital care's thought of the many ways that healthcare could be improved. As I began to make my studies, I also began to notice the many limitations in meeting the needs of patients outside its walls. I became interested in community health and began to explore ways to expand access to care beyond the hospital setting. One of my early successes was the development of a mobile health clinic that could reach remote areas where healthcare services were lacking. I worked with local governments, healthcare providers, and community members to develop a program that brings healthcare directly to people in need. Through the help of other clinics, this program has been highly successful and continues to be used to this day. Inspired by the success of the mobile clinic, I began to look for other ways to expand access to care. I worked with community organizations and healthcare providers to develop programs that addressed specific health needs, such as diabetes management, prenatal care, and mental health services. Based on data collected from each community, these programs were developed to meet its unique needs. Due to this achievement, I also began the development of a community health worker program. This program trained community members to provide basic healthcare services and to serve as liaisons between healthcare providers and the community. In addition to improving access to care, the program provided a model for similar programs in other communities in the area. Overall, I believe that my greatest accomplishment in the healthcare field has been my commitment to expanding access to care through community-based programs. These programs have had a significant impact on society, particularly in underserved areas where healthcare services are often lacking. By working with communities to develop programs that meet their unique needs, I have helped to improve the health and well-being of countless individuals and families. I am incredibly proud of this work and grateful for the opportunity to have made a difference in the lives of others.
