School didn’t come easy to me. It was a struggle to get through my junior year. I thought I knew all I needed to know. Not because I was a bad kid but because I have severe anxiety, OCD and ADHD.
Let me backtrack to when I was around 8; I got sick with a rash no one could explain and a few months later I was not the same kid. Turns out I had PANDAS. I had every symptom listed and school became my worst nightmare. Leaving the house was terrible for me.
In 8th grade I started feeling better and decided to try out for the cheer team for high school and I made it. I felt like I found my home; my new extended family.
During my four years in cheer I really grew up and healed. We were a good team together and we won many championships including back to back state wins.
I’ve been very active in my automotive technology classes offered in my district and I was supposed to start an internship my senior year but covid messed that up. Still I persevered and continued with my plans to be an automotive technician.
At our second state championship cheer win a college recruiter came and asked my future plans and that got me thinking that I wasn’t done cheering. I decided to meet with my cheer coach and look into some community colleges in the area that had a game day cheer program. I decided on Tyler community college and I’ve applied to and been accepted into their automotive technology program.
While I didn’t ever get Cheer at TJC due to an injury, I am forever grateful for the opportunities Cheerleading brought to my life.
I am currently on my final semester and have maintained all A’s. I am currently on the presidents list.
My further plans include working on cars in some manner but I haven’t decided exactly which way I’ll proceed. Preferably I’d like to own my own shop working on and fixing up cars, new and old. I haven’t decided yet but I may continue my education after I get my associates and move on to my bachelors degree and possibly pursue an associates in welding. If I get this scholarship it will not only benefit me but also my family who has been my biggest cheerleader and support.
Thank you for considering me for this scholarship.

My greatest achievement is my health. I have an autoimmune disorder called PANDAS. I was a normal typical kid before I suddenly became sick and my life changed. Much of my childhood was lost. When I was in 5th grade I was placed in special education.
When I was in 8th grade I tried out for cheerleading and made the JV team. I was determined to to be in varsity and tried my hardest and was finally placed on the varsity team. I spent the next 4 years cheering on varsity and became cheer captain my senior year.
We won two state championships my junior and senior year. It was so exciting to achieve this great accomplishment. During my years in cheer we won many awards. I am very proud of the great job we all did as a team. I loved it so much I decided I wanted to continue to cheer and Im going to Tyler Junior college and plan to try out for the cheer team. I’m excited to see what my future holds.
I plan to got to school for my degree in automotive technology. I hope to get my welding degree after that. I will cheer as long as possible because I believe it helps my body and mind stay fit.

When I was only 8 years old my childhood changed and took a turn for the worse. I was sick and my parents didn’t know why. I suddenly became a different kid. I was mean and angry and hated everyone and everything. I stopped being the happy go lucky kid my parents knew.
I had gotten sick a few months back and had a rash and then my hands and feet peeled for about 8 weeks. That wasn’t anything to be concerned about really, strep tests were negative and no one was concerned. A few months later I had an anxiety attack over going into a restaurant with taxidermy. Over the next few months I was unable to leave the house.
I was diagnosed with PANDAS. An autoimmune disorder then effected every aspect of my life. My mental health went down hill. I was played in outpatient care in a behavioral hospital. I spent 2 weeks there.
I was placed in special education in school after being homeschooled for 6 months. I struggled. School was difficult. I had no friends because I didn’t want any. I couldn’t work in groups and I was always mad.
I got treatment and got better. I still suffer with anxiety and have OCD and ADHD. Every day is a struggle but I’ve learned to cope and manage with the help of my parents and my cheerleading coaches.
When I was in 9th grade I discovered cars and realized I wanted to work on them. I began going to our schools automotive technology classes in my sophomore year and I knew then that was my career path.
Thank you for considering me for this scholarship. I never thought college would be possible so any help I can get I appreciate very much.

To be a male cheerleader you have to be strong. I work out every day to build strength. It’s very strenuous to do hours of cheerleading because in competition we may only have one shit to get it right. I want to cheer in college and unlike most female cheerleaders, males are the main bases in stunting.
Most people think cheer is just about being loud and having a pretty smile, but it’s much more than that. I have to be strong and attentive.
I enjoy working out with a buddy or two to keep me motivated.
I have been a varsity cheerleader for 4 years and my high school team is coed and we have won many championships including 2 UIL state championships, 3 time regional championships and two second place national championships.

“Mom, I can’t imagine anyone else getting Pearl”.
My friends grandmother needed to go to assisted living and her dog needed a new home. We had 4 dogs at the time but my heart broke thinking someone else would be taking care of Pearl. My mom said “send a picture” once I sent her the picture there was no further discussion, Pearl joined our family within days and we have loved her for 2 years. When you see her picture you will understand how no one could say no to her sweet face.

Thank you for considering me for this scholarship. I never thought college would be possible so any help I can get I appreciate very much.
Bold Moments No-Essay Scholarship
Cheerleading is hard work. Many hours of practice. You must be brave and strong. These are some pictures of my stunt work in competitions
RushOrderTees Young Entrepreneurs Scholarship
I am applying to the scholarship because I’d like to help my parents with my tuition. See I didn’t always want to go to college. I had a rough childhood. I suffer from an autoimmune disorder called PANDAS. Look it up! I suffered every symptom but one. It made school rough.
During 8th grade I decided to try out for cheerleading. I made the varsity team and found my “family” my parents have been my biggest cheerleaders. Pun intended. We went on to win many competitions and we are currently 2x state champs! After the second win I realized I wasn’t done cheering and maybe college cheer was the way to go.
I’m not your typical cheerleader. I like to get my hands dirty, literally! I was to get a degree in auto mechanics and hope to one day own my own shop. I know I have a lot to learn, that’s why I think continuing my education will be very important. With cheer I can have fun along the way!
Thank you for considering me for this scholarship.
Harold Reighn Moxie Scholarship
My parents call me a hero. I started out just like every other boy, I played and had fun. One day when I was 8 my whole life changed. I got a mysterious rash that would turn my world upside down. PANDAS is a monster that stole my childhood. Many doctors visits, bloodwork, medications.
I’ve outgrown the worst of it but unfortunately it’s left some lasting effects that I fight with all day every day. I have anxiety and OCD. I try hard everyday to keep them at bay. Most days I’m successful.
When I was in 8th grade I tried out for cheer and made varsity. It was there that I found a group of people I cared for and that cared for me. My coach pushed me every day to be a better athlete. She helped make sure I kept up on my schoolwork. In my senior year I became Captain of the cheer team. We won 2 Texas state champions making our school and the whole district proud of us.
I never wanted to go to college. School work was not easy for me. I was happy with going to a trade school and being an automotive technician. However, I realized I’m not quite done with cheerleading and I’d like to do that in college. I found a small college that I’d like to cheer for and hope to get my AA in automachanics there.
