I am passionate about helping others as much as humanly possible. Because of this, I initially wanted to be a doctor. As I did more research, however, I decided to become a nurse so that I can have more direct contact with people. Though health care is not the only method of helping people, I feel I can have a great impact on people's lives through this field, and I believe it will suit my personality well. My educational goals are getting a bachelor of science in nursing and then a master's in administration or education. I am a great candidate because I am goal-driven, I do my best in all things, and I am passionate. I know that I will not let any scholarship go to waste and will give back as soon as possible. I am at the top of my class in high school, I also have a job, I serve my community (including designing a local charity), and take classes at my local community college. Juggling this takes hard work and good time management skills. I also make time for my areas of interest. I enjoy painting, reading, and music. I have played piano since I was 6 years old, although I have only played seriously for the past 2. I realized I wanted to give it my all, or not waste my time. As I value the arts, I decided to give it my all and I have progressed much further than I ever dreamed. I come from a musical family; my dad, grandfather, and grandmother being professional musicians, and my brother a musical theatre performer.
