Doing good for others has always helped me center myself to a bigger purpose and deeper life meaning. I think a part of my life’s purpose is to help someone and to do something that will make a lasting impression. The role as a volunteer inspired me to dream bigger and work even harder. Even to today, this message deeply resonates with me as well. I am enough and the possibilities are endless as long as I try. Taking this with the fact that my parents have nurtured my drive to succeed and instilled within me a belief that I can do anything I set my mind to, the road ahead maybe difficult, but I know that I can handle it if I try. So, I have determined to believe my parents and trust God.
Currently, I am a college sophomore at Alabama State University (ASU) seeking a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences with a minor in Rehabilitation Services. My experiences at ASU have been very rewarding academically and personally. My previous volunteer experience has extended to an even bigger purpose of making this a better world. Academically, I have excelled, and I have maintained a 4.0 grade point average at ASU.
In closing, as I think about my higher education and my life’s purpose, I have decided to pursue a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree upon college graduation. My long-term goals of becoming a physical therapist and one day opening my practice in Polk County, Georgia.
