At the tender age of 8 years old, my mom introduced me to the National Society of Black Engineers, seek program for girls. It was through this experience that I learned how to create my perfume fragrance and build and design a car that ran on water. That one experience sparked such an interest me in stem it changed my perspective on the environment and technology forever. At the end of that summer, I took those experiences personally and started to research the diverse types of technology that would help guide me to a decision I knew would impact not only me but my society and help drive what the future of stem can become. The future of technology is bright, bold, and innovative for individuals who believe they can be successful in areas of stem. I am personally excited about my future and contribution.
I plan to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering from an automotive engineering perspective. something about the design of the car and the sleekness of each corner within the body of the exterior I find fascinating. However, everyone knows that the exterior promotes the consumer to always speak of the interior, it is the creativity and computer-aided technology that sells the automobile. Yet, when we think of the future one must take into consideration the environment and the impact futuristic cars will help to eliminate pollution. Creating an intelligent car where one can think creatively and introduce technology that can change how the automobile performs overall will not contribute to pollution but helps with the recycling of parts that can continue to grow and produce for the following generations.
The engagement of these practices will come in different forums for me, the continuous study of research on both automotive engineering and current technology, the attending of seminars that always enhances the mind and challenges the causes of improvements for technology and environment, the seeking of internship that will grant an opportunity for hands-on experience, and hard work and discipline for the craft. Embracing these habits will grant me opportunities to stay connected with the industry and my peers. The goal is to create a line of automobiles that have been designed, created, and mass-produced with my design that will allow a partnership with like-minded individuals who are destined for greatness.
