Bio

I joined the military in 2016 to help support my younger sister through college. In 2021, I became a civilian and started my journey to a bachelor’s in visual effects and animation with an emphasis in 3D modeling as a student at the Academy of Art University. My most ambitious goal is to support and mentor other artists and entrepreneurs so they can achieve their goals. This will help to create a network for the underprivileged. Hopefully it all goes well I can create a network of not only artists, but but other professions such as nurses, teachers, and even archeologists. These professionals will We'll add to the network and and men's for others students looking to get into their fieldWe'll add to the network and thence for others looking to get into their field. Before I can help others I must help myself, and by getting my bachelor's degree I'll be one stuff closer to achieving my dreams.

Before the pandemic, the world was an introvert's nightmare. Public places with too many people, face-to-face interviews, and social obligations to attend events. It took me a while to figure out that I was introverted. I wanted to be the social butterfly that everyone loved to talk to and hang out with. When I was in the navy at my first Command, I wanted to fit in even more which led me to act out of character, and it felt terrible. When the Plague came about in the 21st century, it was a hidden blessing. I discovered going out and partying just wasn't me. Instead, I found joy in connecting with people online. I'm human and still require some type of interaction. Meeting people over Discord servers, however, wasn't just a way to connect with people, it became a way to learn. There wasn't anyone around me that was actively practicing different languages, but on Discord, I could easily find someone to practice Chinese with. I made long friends with many people in many different countries all while maintaining my personal space.

Proving someone wrong gives me a boost of energy. It's what makes me resilient in life. I will go out of my way to prove I can do what others think I can't. I know there are going to be many people who think my tiny house community is too ambitious, but that's what makes me want to see it through to the end. To give back, I want to create a tiny house community to help others get back on their feet. In this ambitious community, people with trade skills could pass down their knowledge to the younger generation. There were no skilled trades that I knew of in Mississippi growing up. It wasn't until I left Mississippi, joined the military, and traveled that many things are done, not by machine, but by people. As the first person in the community, I would be a mentor in Art, housing a student going to college in my area. This would eliminate some of the financial burdens of going to college. As the community grows more skilled workers can mentor the younger generation and it won't be a guessing game if you want to be a mechanic, artist, or vet because you would be exposed to that field of work. As the people in the community grow, the community grows and it becomes a network of people who support you and want the best for you. Not only do you get a network of skilled workers, but it becomes a mixing pot of cultures. This is something I believe is helpful in the workplace. There was a time I didn't know Guam existed and many people, I've learned don't know a lot about it. While the community might not take it, residents, on trips to overseas places, the community can bring overseas people into the community giving people, who wouldn't normally see each other, the opportunity to mingle, maybe even learn a new language. Leaders who come out of the community will have a better understanding of these different cultures and religions and will be more sympathetic towards them. I imagine this community on a large plot of land and covered in tiny houses, each designed by the community and built by the community. There won't be struggles to find babysitters because the community looks after its children. The elders will have a forever home in the community, and plenty of recreation for all. Residents can set up shop to sell handmade clothes, jewelry, and homegrown fruit. This is something I plan to start, first I must prove I won't be a starving artist to those who say otherwise.
