Bio

I am a freshman at the University of Central Florida pursuing my Bachelors of Science in Business degree with concentrations in Finance and Marketing. I am a leader, throughout my high school career I excelled in both academics and extracurriculars holding over 8 leadership positions in various clubs. My senior year I held the role of President in 4 clubs including DECA, Speech and Debate, Political Youth Club, and National English Honor Society. I hope to continue my leadership aspirations throughout my time in college and eventually in career roles. I graduated High School in May with a 3.71 GPA, 5.1 HPA, and 1521 documented Service Hours.

    Olympians Academy Leadership Wings Scholarship
    I am a leader. Throughout my high school experience I have participated in 8 extra curricular clubs, 3 paying jobs, 2 internships, and various service projects. In addition to my extracurricular work, I completed high school in May with a 3.73 GPA, 5.1 Weighted GPA, a 30 on my ACT, and 1521 documented service hours. Academically, I participated in my schools AICE program, 10 AP courses, and 10 Dual enrollment courses, making my academic course load very difficult. I learned balance my sophomore year when I took on a few more clubs and had a full course schedule. It was tough making sacrifices between my social life, study time, and sleep until I realized if I balanced my schedule I could have a social life, still do well in my courses, and get a good nights rest. My sophomore year, I had my first leadership position on my school’s Speech and debate team. Tournament Advisor was my official title and I completely immersed myself in the teams competitive aspect and tournament planning. This was also the first year I joined my school’s DECA chapter which is also a competitive academic club. There was when I also had to balance my time not only between academics and extra curricular activities but between the activities themselves. It was a learning curve of scheduling my day in 15 minute increments on my Google Calendar and sticking to my schedule. I pulled more all-nighters that year than any other, and I actually really enjoyed it. I enjoyed success and the self-validation I achieved from making a busy schedule work. I qualified for DECA internationals, competed in over 10 Speech and Debate Tournaments, and ended the year with a 3.8GPA. My junior year I joined National English Honor Society and Political Youth Club. I was appointed Vice President and I began this on top of my current load. I was just like a professional juggler who can always add another ball to their act. While taking standardized tests like the ACT, and my extra curricular load my junior year I maintained straight A’s. After that year, senior year was easier than expected. I was elected president to 4 clubs, maintained a 3.83 GPA which helped me graduate in the top 10% of my class and enjoy my last year of high school. I am now going to be attending the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in Business and cannot wait to use all the skills I’ve learned through my experiences in High School. My primary goal is to bring ethics to the business world through the lenses of both Marketing and Finance. Both marketing and finance at their core relate to profitability as well as the means and operation necessary to achieve a company’s goals. My goal is to step into the career space with an education that has focused on understanding how businesses operate as well as their connection all the way to the individual consumer. Often, large corporations hide things from individual consumers and I believe that the industry lacks transparency. There is an increasing role of fraud and deception within both the financial and marketing sector. I believe that the individual consumer deserves better, and I want to be that better.

Then COVID hit, my planned days came to an end since I didn’t have 5 places to be at once. I only had one place, my home. I experienced a new found freedom of being able to manage my own time in school instead of teachers managing it for me. I thrived in that environment because it allowed for multitasking and ownership of my whole day instead of after 3:20PM. I even scheduled my summer with a COVID-19 relief drive which benefited homeless shelters through the pandemic donating supplies and over 1300 homemade masks. My junior year I decided to stay in virtual school, I had loved the new environment I had made for myself. This year I joined National English Honor Society and Political Youth Club.
