My life goals are to go to my dream school, the University of Oregon, to study Business marketing and management and minor in music production. My life goal is to be able to manage and produce work that is beneficial to my community. I am passionate about music and media, which is a part of my goal to spread to the community. During my junior year of high school, I researched music therapy and the general effects of music and media. I’ve learned that they both have a desired motivation within a person to be able to cope with their mental health and maintain a healthy lifestyle that physically benefits them as well. I aim to apply what I learned that year to my dream career in music, media management, and production. These scholarships would mean so much to me to afford school, especially the University of Oregon, to further my education. I am an accountable student with a GPA of 4.0+ from taking AP classes during my Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years of high school. I have also been taking concurrent enrollment classes during my Junior and Senior years of high school through my local community college, Front Range while maintaining a 4.0+ GPA.

Throughout my high school experience, it was definitely a journey to get through. Despite the hard obstacles that I faced, such as recently losing my Dad and becoming homeless and having to live with another family member, my teachers were supporting me the entire way. My dream job is to be in the music industry. Being able to produce and manage music and help other artists with their career as well as furthering my own career. I have taken many advanced classes as well as some college classes through my local community college, but there were two that stood out the most during my journey. I have taken two classes that will help me in the media aspect of my career, Graphic Design and Photography. These were Career Technical Education based classes, allowing me to earn two certifications in both classes, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I have also taken basic business classes in my high school experience such as economics and intro to business that has readied me to be able to pursue my desired degree in Business Marketing and Media Production.
The teachers that helped me along the way due to my unfortunate circumstances, have provided endless encouragement. They gave me resources on how to reach my dream career. They encouraged me to not to give up when I was at my lowest, when I was anxious about graduating, and when I needed the support. They were the ones that helped me get to where I am today, and because of that, I am able to attend my dream college, University of Oregon, and get the education that I desire. I plan to take on as many courses that will ready me for the future. I am ready to put myself out there and live.
There is a saying that I like to go by which is "Carpe Diem". It's latin for "Seize the Day". When I look at this saying, I think of all of the endless opportunities that is about to enter my life. These opportunities is going to help me get to where I want to be in life. At the UO, I plan to get involved as much as I can; whether it be through sports, extra classes, or clubs. Through the extra classes, I plan to take honors classes during my second year as well as take on a minor in Music Production. Despite having a steady place to live, I do not think of it as my place in life. As much as I care and adore my family, I am ready to start my journey out in Oregon. Growing up and even now, I have been surrounded by encouragement but failed to have consistency and space to grow as a person. I have not found myself yet, and by attending the UO, it will help me find my sense of purpose. Whether that be through trial and error or help, I feel like I can find these missing opportunities during college and help me get to where I want to be in life.
