In my AP history class discussions, I would usually be one of the first ones to interact, but I was not, as the discussion was on futures. The bell rang and I had not spoken the whole time. My teacher noticed and called me over. I confided in my teacher and told him of my struggles and challenges for the future. He listened attentively, and after I finished speaking with watery eyes and drops started to fall from my eyes, he simply passed me a tissue and said “Hold on let me make a call”. That led to a miraculous opportunity to apply to the honors college at Miami Dade College, despite missing the application deadline. Miracles do happen. A phone call informing me of my acceptance into the honors college, with all expenses covered, felt like a testament to God's promise unfolding before my eyes. It was a pivotal moment that affirmed my faith and set the stage for future successes. Throughout my journey at the honors college, God continued to work wonders through the people He placed in my path. Teachers, professors, mentors, and peers played a crucial role in my growth and achievements. With their support, I obtained certifications in biofuel research, CPR, and Mental Health First Aid, while also receiving recognition for my artwork and academic achievements. My experiences reinforced my belief that God and science are not contradictory but complementary. Through science, I aim to illuminate the beauty of God's creation.
