    I currently own a dog. Her names Halo. She's a black Labrador and shes approaching 6 years old. She's had 1 surgery before but aside from that setback she's a perfectly healthy dog. She played a major part in my life during the pandemic. She was my best friend when we were locked up indoors fighting a pandemic. Now a senior in high school, she grew up with me in my teenage years. I remember purchasing her in a town close to ours about 30 minutes out. She might be a weirdo at heart with the way she loves to walk sideways or scratch her back by dragging her body across the hallway wall. She loves the sneeze right in our faces for some reason and jumping on top of us while we are resting in bed from a long day of school or work. She loves my grandparents more than us because she runs around in circles when they come over. She might be a little devil sometimes, but it's all worth it. Halo has always been there for me and my family. She always manages to put a smile on our faces. She's not perfect but she's exactly what my family and I needed. We love her and consider her a part of our family. She's the best dog any of us could ever ask for. Halo has impacted my way positively from day 1, and without her i'm not sure if i'd be the same happy person that I am today.

    I play baseball at Victor Valley High school. My team had a good year this past season in the 2022 season. The 2021 COVID season was difficult. With high expectations coming into the year as a bunch of sophomores and juniors trying to get back in the groove it was rough. We weren't ready and it showed, missing playoffs and ending our 20+ year playoff streak. It was tough to be known as the team that ended that streak. Going into the next season we had our work cut out for us, but everyone came together as a team and worked as hard as humanly possible to make sure that it wouldn't happen again. The real turning point sadly came due to losses within our team. We lost our teammate James due to suicide and our captain, Dom, lost his father due to health issues. It's hard to say but the losses of our teammates and parents really brought everyone together. We grieved together and put aside our differences within the team to focus on one goal and that was to win a league championship. Hours and hours spent practicing perfecting our game as a team. Everyone knew the goal, everyone stepped up to make sure that we would achieve the goal in mind. Baseball was a hobby for most of us before but after everything we've gone through as a team, it became a therapy for me and my teammates. Going to the field everyday became the highlight of everyone's day. My favorite player all time is playing in the bigs right now. I believe he is the best "Baseball player" on the Angels. It's not Mike Trout, Its not Shohei Ohtani, it's David Fletcher. I try to model my game off of his. All around I really believe he is the best "Baseball Player" Now best athlete or better player is for sure Trout or Ohtani but when it comes to IQ in between the lines and best player to their physical attributes. It believe its Fletcher. He plays as hard as he can every time he steps on the field and knows his role on the team. I play outfield and try to imitate him and some of the other stars on my favorite team the Angels. Were not the best but I won't leave them because one day when were a good team I can say ive been here since day 1
