From a young age, my parents instilled in me the importance of education. They had migrated to a foreign country without knowing the language or culture. Despite facing many challenges, they always prioritized my education and made countless sacrifices to provide me with the best opportunities possible. Perhaps the most significant of these sacrifices was their willingness to work long hours in labor-intensive jobs to support our family. They had left behind successful careers in their home country to start anew in an unfamiliar land, and they had to start from scratch. Despite the grueling nature of their work, they never once complained or allowed their hardships to affect their parenting. They always ensured that I had everything I needed to succeed in school, from school supplies to tuition fees to extracurricular activities. Their sacrifices have had a profound impact on my ambitions and aspirations. Their unwavering dedication to my education has inspired me to strive for excellence in all aspects of my life. Knowing that my parents sacrificed so much to give me the opportunities I have today has always motivated me to work hard and pursue my goals. In light of their sacrifices, I feel a deep sense of responsibility to pay it forward. I want to use my academic pursuits and future endeavors to positively impact society. I intend to make the most of the opportunities my parents worked so hard to provide me and use my education to give back to others. Specifically, I plan to pursue a career in Health with data science and work towards providing healthcare to underserved communities. Especially, now that my parents are not on this earth with me and have become parents to my younger siblings, I promised to complete my education as well as seek to it that my younger siblings get educated as well. Furthermore, I want to stay connected to my cultural roots and give back to my community. I plan to volunteer my time and resources to organizations that promote education and provide resources for immigrant families.
