Living my dream life would be a dream come true. It is inspiring, loving, and motivational to myself and others. Every night, I will write my manifestations in my journal and thank God in advance for the blessings and opportunities He is doing. My future looks bright. My life in the future will be in four parts.
The first part of my dream would be to become a youth development director. I am from Chesapeake, Virginia, and I am a proud Virginian. I would love to help the youth become more active in music, dance, theatre, STEM, and plenty of phenomenal resources to become leaders within themselves in Hampton Roads, Virginia.
The second part is to be part of the youth committee for the NAACP in Hampton Roads. As of right now, I have attended my first meeting for Chesapeake's NAACP. I'm looking forward to being one of the youth committee leaders to help our youth become advocates and leaders, and help them register to vote. Our youth today is our future. They need all the resources they can have to fulfill their dreams.
The third part is me having my non-profit organization. This organization would help teachers in public, private, and home schools. It is unfair how teachers are underpaid and overworked. They sacrifice a lot to teach the youth. They deserve the same respect as any working professional.
Last be not least, graduating from Norfolk State University with an MA in Urban Affairs. I am so proud to be attending the university this fall semester. I am nervous but excited. However, I am aware of the knowledge I will gain from the incredible professors in my department.
I am excited about my future. After years of trying to understand my purpose on God's earth, I am thankful He showed me the path I need to follow. I know my age. I do not let that hold me back. I became confident about who I wanted to become and thankful for my passion. My passion is being an advocate for our youth and teachers. So when it is my season, I will jump to that ship He needs me to be on to fulfill my dreams.
Of course, I will be a first-time home buyer, surround myself with people who are positive and influential, and have fun doing what I love to do. I look forward to the next chapter in my life.

My sister and I are nine years apart. We have the same mother but different father. I don't ever look at her as my half-sister. I do not ever introduce her to my friends as my half-sister. She is my sister, my blood. What her and I have been through in our lives is indescribable. I tell her all the time that our lives would be a testimony to someone in the future. Because truth is, I do not know what I would do without her. What my sister has been through in her personal life, I wish I could replace it and make it brighter and happier. Yet, she has grown into this strong, beautiful woman that smiles even when she is stressed and frustrated. However, this is why I am thankful for her. After all the trials and tribulations, she never gave up on herself. She never gave up on life. She went to school, paid the tuition herself, with the help of student loans, graduated, and became a nurse. The one thing my sister taught me is never give up on yourself and always trust God's process; even if you can not understand His plan. Disruptions happen because you're off to do greater things in life. Thank you sis for teaching me this lesson. I am forever thankful and blessed of you.
