Brady Cobin Law Group "Expect the Unexpected" Scholarship
Legacy entails accomplishments, impact, property, or money that a person leaves behind when they die or no longer serve in that position. Legacy helps one choose and plan the kind of life they want to live and expect from people. Legacy is a fundamental thing to a person’s life because it gives a chance to build strong relationships with people and the whole community.
Leaving a legacy means putting a mark or leaving a good possession for people to use to remember how kind-hearted a person was to them and use the same resources to nurture future generations. Legacy has stilled the values that people will use in promoting the young age to greater heights. The legator will also be of much happiness when they know that their ideas are helpful and used by people. Legacy gives people the chance to have clear memories of what one left and how beneficial it has been in their lives. Leaving resources such as money provides financial benefits to people who could not proceed with their activities, such as schooling and businesses. Also, leaving a legacy is an excellent foundation for human life, and some people leave behind massive wealth that their family does not even know about its existence. With this idea, people should take up the responsibility of creating and leaving behind good legacies so that the next generation could also benefit from them.
Further, there are various types of valuable legacies that an individual can leave behind. Some of these valuable legacies include pecuniary legacy; this type of legacy allows the legator to quote the amount of money they wish to give out. Secondly, a specific legacy permits an individual to give a particular property to people or relatives. Thirdly is a residuary legacy where a person gifts an estate or a residential place, and all other properties are included in their legacy. Lastly, there is a reversionary legacy which gives the chance to leave an asset to a named person to use and benefit from it. All these kinds of legacies are valuable to a person’s life and their generations to come.
There are lots of legacies that an individual would wish to leave behind, depending on their capabilities. In my case, I would like to leave a legacy that will be a lasting memory of me. I would wish to leave behind a legacy of kindness and social responsibility. I plan to positively impact people’s lives by assisting them where I can through charitable works. Sharing my resources to help the less fortunate population is a good way to leave a mark. I would visit an orphanage home, take food and clothing to those children, and provide them with funds. Though my contributions might look small, the smile on those children’s faces is what matters. Adding value to people’s lives makes one leave footprints in their hearts, and with that, they will forever remember the help you gave them during their hard times.
Finally, leaving a good legacy is essential that everyone needs to participate to create lasting memories in people’s hearts and minds. People will always live to praise their name even when they are no more. They will appreciate the work a person did for them, learn from it and transfer the idea from one generation to another.
