Bio

I am currently a Senior at Design Tech High School, interested in business. I plan to continue my studies at a four-year university with a major in marketing or product design. In school, I participate in many different clubs. Among my favorites are Flame (yearbook) and REACH Club (volunteering). I grew up in the Bay Area of California. I have been learning the Mandarin language for 14 years since I was in preschool. Most of my years, I spent at the Central Chinese High School in San Francisco where I was awarded as one of the top students for six consecutive years. Also, I attended a Mandarin emersion elementary and middle school (College Park Elementary and Bayside STEM Academy) and currently take Mandarin courses at the College of San Mateo. I can write and speak Mandarin fluently. I plan to continue to study Chinese at the university level. Outside of school, I have been practicing martial arts since I was 11. I currently hold a black belt. I volunteer at my dojo and help instruct and teach other students. I started martial arts training at the beginning of middle school, thinking I wouldn’t enjoy it, but after a few classes, I realized it is quite fun! Other activities I enjoy are sewing and baking.
