Becoming financially free and achieving your goals is possible. Dave Ramsey, a leader who has helped me see this, displays powerful attributes such as determination, patience and belief in all. He has personally shown me that all goals or ideas trapped inside imagination, are more than capable of becoming real. Coming from a lesser status on the scale of what one might use to determine future success, Dave Ramsey taught me that whatever our system may force on us or bait us into, that it is possible to break free and prove your name. My personal dreams are to become a CEO and create my own businesses. I know that creating a business is possible and I have the power and dedication to do this and Dave Ramsey has inspired me to relentlessly work towards those goals. Creating a business to me isn’t about the money, fame, or fancy assets, but instead, proving to yourself that you are bigger and more capable of your dreams than anyone can tell you. If you can break down the walls society has built, normalized and called “correct”, then you can fulfill any target you have. We are taught to follow the flow, and not step outside and try something new. Listening to Dave Ramsey has helped me see this is possible. Enjoying your career and having your dream job is possible. Dave Ramsey teaches to “Act your wage”, meaning to me that if I can build my own experience and wage, then I will be able to bless and help those around me who may have been in my same position, with my knowledge. Dave Ramsey to me is not just another millionaire or public speaker, Dave Ramsey is who someone I would like to be like. I enjoy listening to his advice and exposing socially accepted traps such as debt. I want to become a self made business owner and pass my knowledge onto others. For the past couple of years, it has been one of my personal goals to indulge my time and skills in the area of business. I had tried opening online stores, doing research and finding people in the field I was after, but soon, the late nights and confusion turned into a blur of hopelessness. Still, my passion for business was unrelenting and I started creating online stores and following tutorials. Even though I have not become a millionaire, or am even close, I know my dreams are possible because I don’t quit. I have learned that even though I have failed, always continue to try. Not only do I wish to find financial success while doing what I love, I also hope to help others in this area. I have realized now that the future is in my hands, and I have the power to make it how I want. Although times will be hard, and not everything is going to come perfect the way you want it, we have the power to mold it to our liking.

I feel I am the least of them all. Going through year after year of school, without feeling like I gained anything, I realized that school seemed less effective than it was made out to be and I wasn’t retaining what I was taught. I’ve always felt K12 didnt encourage physical activity and it didn't make me think about how to solve current world problems. At school, I’ve always felt out of place, and left with a feeling of uncertainty and confusion. I would often spend my days alone working on homework, rather than participating in extracurriculars, events, games or activities. Things like prom or homecoming never interested me, yet instead, I found my mind wandering to more profound topics. Was there something wrong with me? School has remained uninteresting to me, but I personally believe my experience in school has altered my view on the world and my ability to create, fulfill and build my future goals in a way that is good for me.
Travel has allowed me to be free, and explore life and cultures around the world while giving me a break from the repetition of daily life. Since a toddler, my mom has kept my mind open and busy with camping, trying new foods, making friends across the world, visiting historic monuments, and going to political debates. Traveling has given me a sense of freedom and readiness to learn and as I grow older, I plan to continue my journey of travel. I'm excited to learn about life outside of America, different cultures, friends and carrying out opportunities. The feeling of freedom has driven me to push for more in life. I now strive to heighten my knowledge beyond gen eds, and pursue subjects like philosophy, business, accounting, and cultural studies. I am going to college for business management, and will then learn accounting along with marketing.
My life goal is to become a CEO, while teaching and positively influencing those who look up to me. I have participated in entrepreneurship and have a business of my own which I hope to grow internationally someday. Although not my favorite thing, school was crucial to me learning what I wanted in life and has now left me with a burning passion to carry out those goals. Becoming self-sufficient and financially stable may not be the easiest thing to do, but I am determined to carve my own path and inspire others to do work alongside me.

The trees will be dead, and the grass will be gray. The sun’s rays will dim, and you will be swimming in plastic. 7 different types of plastics range in purposes like wrapping food, building pipes, or making the decor you love so much. Unfortunately, a few of these are known to cause cancer, and other health problems such as birth defects, lung disease, and even infertility. The world produces 381 million tons of plastic waste yearly, and 88% of the ocean surface is covered by harmful plastics. This means all the animals you love to see at aquariums or in oceans are choking on and eating our garbage. Animals need to filter water and keep the ocean alive, and they die by the thousands each year due to our plastic waste. Their environments have been taken and destroyed by human waste and they are running out of places to go. The craziest part? These harmful plastics are still being dumped into our air and oceans with no clean disposal. Our earth does have an end, it is not inevitable to destruction. According to UN.org, plastic waste can take anywhere from 20 to 500 years to decompose, and even then, it never fully disappears; it just gets smaller and smaller. Your food, air, and water are slowly being overtaken by your garbage. Without responsibility taken for these, plastic will continue to pollute the earth. We are producing millions of tons of plastic every year, and some reports indicate that up to 50% of that is still for single-use purposes. Plastic will continue to build up in landfills, air, water, and natural resources faster than we can manage. Soon enough, we will have so much plastic waste that we will be unable to dispose of it fast enough. Not only does land continue to be polluted, but habitats for animals, plants, and the production of food will get overtaken by plastic waste and its chemicals. It is estimated that 1 million marine animals die each year due to plastic intake or entanglement. These animals maintain a steady ecosystem and food chain for humans and other animals. On top of land and water being affected by plastic, we will continue to have disease and death each year due to this manageable problem. While we produce tons of plastic, it is building up into oceans and washing up on the shores of third-world countries like Indonesia or Congo where they have even fewer resources to clear the plastic waste. Children grow up in disease-filled environments due to our ignorance. Knowing this, businesses have a range of healthy options such as using more paper products, reducing the use of one-time-use items, reducing the amount of plastic and chemicals used in products, and using clean energy. These changes by businesses can lead to better air quality, reduced waste, and water conservation.
