Bio

Hello Everyone! I am a current Graduate student at The University of Texas Permian Basin pursing a degree in Professional education. I am also currently a freshman recruit for UTPB, as well as an advisor for two organizations. I am a first generation student in my family, so to be pursing a graduate degree that I can use to poor into low- income, and over looked schools absolutely fills my heart. I chose this profile picture to show case that not only my professors and mentors noticed my hard work and determination but the University as a whole recognized me as the "Personification of what a falcon looks like". With that being said I am more than determined to work towards my goal of higher education, and I would love if you supported me through it a well.

My mission is to create an inclusive, nurturing, and supportive environment where each student feels safe to express themselves and explore their strengths. This will involve: Personalized Instruction: Tailoring activities and lessons to the individual needs and abilities of each student. Positive Reinforcement: Encouraging students to celebrate small victories and acknowledge their growth. Emotional Support: Using mindfulness practices and emotional regulation techniques to help students become more aware of their emotions. Collaboration and Social Interaction: Facilitating activities that promote communication, teamwork, and mutual support, so students can connect with their peers and develop social skills. Creative Expression: Using art, music, and movement to help students express their thoughts and feelings in ways that are meaningful to them. Fairy Tale: "The Teacher and the Light of Presence" Once upon a time, in a quiet village nestled between mountains and meadows, there lived a teacher named Mira. Her classroom was unlike any other, filled with children of all kinds, each one unique. Some had brilliant minds that worked in spirals and patterns, while others could communicate through the language of music or dance. But in the beginning, many of these children felt lost, as though they were invisible in a world too busy to notice them. Mira could see this, and it broke her heart. She knew they needed something more than just lessons in reading or math; they needed to find their own light, their own presence. One night, as she sat thinking under the stars, a soft voice whispered to her, "You have a special gift, Mira. You can help them see their own light, but it will take courage and kindness." The next morning, Mira set out on a quest. She gathered her students around her and told them they were going on an adventure, not outside the village, but inside themselves. First, she gave each student a small mirror, but it was not an ordinary mirror. "This mirror will not show you what you look like on the outside," she said. "It will show you who you are on the inside." At first, the children were confused. Some saw only a blur, others saw nothing at all. But Mira was patient. She encouraged them to look again, to listen to their hearts, and to see themselves not through their flaws but through their strengths. One by one, the children began to see something extraordinary. "I can solve puzzles faster than anyone!" said a boy with bright eyes. "I can sing songs that make others feel happy," said a girl with a gentle voice. "I can understand animals," whispered another, smiling shyly. As each child discovered their special gift, their presence grew stronger, and the room began to fill with light—warm, radiant light that reflected who they truly were. Mira’s heart swelled with pride. She had done it! She had helped her students find their inner presence, their own light. From that day on, the children walked with confidence, knowing that they mattered, that their gifts were unique and powerful. And so, in that quiet village, under the watchful mountains and meadows, Mira and her students lived with joy, always growing, always shining. The end.
