Hi, my name is Alesia! I’m currently attending Davenport University pursuing a Bachelors Degree of Science in Nursing.
I received an Associates degree of Liberal Arts in May of 2019 due to beginning college classes in 11th grade of high school. I received straight A’s for the Associates degree and high school which set me up for success in my Bachelors degree program.
I have always been extremely involved in my community and helping others. I have mainly accomplished this through my church, Sparlingville Baptist. I have been involved in ministries and outreach such as teachers aide, nursery worker, piano player, and bus aide since I was 12 years old. Through my church I also had the opportunity to travel to Lima, Peru in 2018 and 2019 where I helped at a children’s home and in the community. Reaching out and helping others has always been important to me and was the guiding force for choosing nursing as my profession. My future goals for nursing are a travel nursing position and working on a NICU unit following completion of my Bachelors degree.
Financial stability is something I strive for. I’ve avoided student loans and have taken care of my own college expenses for three years of my program so far and plan to do the same for senior year as well. My goal is to graduate college debt free and scholarships will help me achieve that goal!
I have big dreams, but with hard work and efficiency I plan to achieve every one of them!

Mount LeConte. That’s the name of this spectacular spot located in the Smoky Mountains. I am scared of heights and have not hiked in the mountains for three years so I was nervous about the opportunity to hike Mount LeConte. The 10.5 mile round trip hike took some muscle but was absolutely worth it to see this view! I’m so glad I went out of my comfort zone and took this opportunity!
