FinalistBio
Hi, my name is Alejandro, but you can call me Alex. I feel that I deserve a Bold scholarship because I have a driving passion, overcame many difficulties along the way, and I’m a successful and diligent student. Firstly, when it comes to my passion, I want to pursue a career in animation. I want that career because I love cartoons and drawing. I also was inspired by all the animated films and cartoons I watched growing up. I hope to earn a Bold scholarship so I can learn more about animation in college.
Another reason I feel I deserve a Bold scholarship is that I overcame many difficulties in my life. Some of them were school-related; I struggled in Math as a child and never thought I could get good grades in it until my dad got me a tutor to help. Other difficulties were more personal, like the death of my grandparents and the stress brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite all this, I managed to pull through and emerge from these trials stronger than ever.
Lastly, I feel I deserve a scholarship because I am diligent. I always stay on top of my assignments; I always study before tests and get my homework done. I also focus on how I can be better and improve from my mistakes while building upon my successes. I feel these attributes make me an appropriate and impressive candidate for scholarships. You won’t regret nominating me!

Bold Love Yourself Scholarship
There are many things I love about myself, one of them being my personality. I love my personality because it is an extroverted personality. I love to meet new people and always act friendly to them. I am never shy, which is why I am very comfortable interacting with others. I also like attention; I am not afraid to stand up in front of a crowd and give a speech. My personality enables me to do all these things, which is one of the reasons why I love it.
Another reason I love my personality is that it makes me unique. The fact that I am one of a kind and that there will never be another person in the world just like me makes me feel special and inspires me to create new things. It also empowers me to change the world knowing that I only have one chance to make it happen since there is nobody else like me.
When I was a child, I was taught that being different is good, and I have taken those words to heart by embracing my personality for what it is. I love it because is outgoing and unique, inspires me with new ideas, and motivates me to change the world. These are the reasons why I love my personality.
Ocho Cares Artistry Scholarship
For me, being an artist means using your talents to create something new and original, whether it be a song, a painting, a novel, or even an animation. I would also define being an artist as doing something that you feel passionate about and genuinely enjoy doing. These beliefs are also two of three forces that drive me as an artist, the third being my desire to get better at what I do. Each of these forces has different meanings but all push me to one common goal: becoming an artist. I want to use my abilities to make new things and let my imagination run wild. I want to enjoy what I do by working in an environment where creativity and new ideas are promoted and colleagues are willing to accept me as part of their team. Most importantly, I want to improve my skills over time by learning from my mistakes and taking constructive criticism.
Even though my dream job lies with animation, I feel a strong connection to art. Animation has been used as an art format ever since its inception. Sometimes the art comes in the form of incredible storytelling, while other times it comes in more abstract forms such as psychedelic visuals. I also feel a connection to art because animation came from drawings, which have also been used as art forms.
I have many goals I'd like to accomplish as an animator, and some of them include making a difference in the world. I want to use my art to inspire future generations of kids just like how previous generations of animators and artists had inspired me. I also want to use my art to convey positive messages to those kids and the rest of the world. I want to teach them that they can achieve their dreams if they put their minds to it, work hard enough, and believe in themselves. That is what I want to use my art for.
