Giving back to the community is an important aspect of being a responsible member of society. There are many ways in which individuals and organizations can contribute to the well-being of their communities, and it is up to each person to decide how they can best make a difference.
One way in which I give back to my community is by helping homeless individuals. This can take many forms, such as volunteering at a soup kitchen or shelter, donating food and clothing, or simply offering a kind word or a listening ear to someone who is struggling.
In addition to helping homeless individuals, I also plan to use my passion for travel to give back to the community in the future. One way I plan to do this is by offering therapy and art therapy services to individuals in need, using the unique experiences and cultural perspectives gained through travel to enrich the therapy process.
I also plan to use my love of travel to give back to the community by volunteering my time and skills to organizations that work to promote responsible and sustainable tourism. This could involve working with local communities to help them benefit from the tourism industry, or helping to protect the natural and cultural heritage of a destination.
Ultimately, giving back to the community is about finding ways to make a positive impact on the lives of others, whether it be through direct service or through the use of one's talents and passions. I believe that by working together and supporting one another, we can create a better world for all.
Traveling can be an enriching and transformative experience, as it allows individuals to step outside of their familiar surroundings and experience new cultures, landscapes, and ways of life. This can be a great opportunity for personal growth and self-discovery, as it allows people to challenge their assumptions and broaden their perspectives.
Therapy, on the other hand, is a form of mental health treatment that involves working with a therapist to address emotional, behavioral, and psychological issues. Therapy can help individuals develop coping skills, improve communication and relationships, and better understand and manage their thoughts and feelings.
Combining travel and therapy can be especially beneficial, as the unique experiences and cultural perspectives gained through travel can be used to enrich the therapy process. For example, a therapist might use travel experiences as a way to explore and process personal issues, or use the cultural differences encountered during travel as a way to challenge and expand one's worldview.
In addition to the personal benefits of travel and therapy, both can also have a positive impact on the wider community. Travel can promote understanding and cultural exchange, while therapy can help individuals improve their overall well-being and contribute to the health and well-being of those around them.
Charlie Akers Memorial Scholarship
There are several ways, both big and small, that I have given back to my neighborhood and community. One of the ways I have given back is by volunteering with organizations that focus on addressing issues like homelessness and animal welfare. For example, I have worked with homeless shelters to provide basic necessities like food and clothing to those in need, as well as to advocate for policies and programs that can help to address the root causes of homelessness. Similarly, I have worked with animal rescue groups to help care for and rehome abandoned and neglected animals, as well as to raise awareness about the importance of responsible pet ownership.
In addition to volunteering with these organizations, I have also sought out opportunities to give back to my community through more informal means. For example, I have participated in neighborhood clean-up efforts, helped to organize community events, and assisted with various projects that benefit the community. I have also tried to be a good neighbor by being available to help others in my community when they need it, whether it be by providing a listening ear, offering a helping hand, or simply being a supportive presence.
One of the ways I have given back to my community on a larger scale is by advocating for social and political issues that affect the well-being of my community. For example, I have written letters to elected officials, signed petitions, and participated in rallies and other public events to voice my support for issues that are important to me. I have also worked with like-minded individuals to organize and lead campaigns to bring about positive change in my community, whether it be through raising funds for a specific cause or advocating for policies that can help to make a difference.
As I continue to further my education, I plan on continuing to give back to my community in a number of ways. One of the things I hope to do is to use my education to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to be an effective advocate for positive change in my community. Whether through volunteering, activism, or simply being a good neighbor, I believe that we all have the power to make a positive impact on the world around us, and I am committed to doing my part to create a more positive and supportive environment for all.
Another way I plan on giving back to my community as I continue my education is by using my education to pursue a career that allows me to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Whether it be through working with disadvantaged populations, advocating for social justice, or simply being a supportive and compassionate presence in the lives of those around me, I believe that we all have the ability to make a positive impact on the world, and I am committed to using my education and skills to make a difference in the lives of others.
Lauren Czebatul Scholarship
Volunteering has had a significant impact on my mindset in a number of ways. One of the most significant ways that volunteering has changed my mindset is by helping me to develop a greater sense of empathy and compassion. By working with people who are facing various challenges, such as homelessness, poverty, or illness, I have been able to see firsthand the struggles that many people face on a daily basis. This has helped me to develop a greater understanding of the difficulties that others may be experiencing, and to be more compassionate and understanding towards those who may be struggling.
Another way that volunteering has changed my mindset is by helping me to see the world from a different perspective. By working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, I have been exposed to new ideas and ways of thinking that have helped me to broaden my understanding of the world. This has helped me to be more open-minded and accepting of others, and to be more willing to listen to and learn from those who may have different experiences and viewpoints than my own.
Additionally, volunteering has also helped me to develop a greater sense of purpose and meaning in my life. By contributing my time and energy to help others, I have been able to feel more connected to my community and to make a positive difference in the world. This has helped me to find a greater sense of purpose and meaning in my life, which has been incredibly rewarding and fulfilling.
As for why I need this scholarship financially, there are a few reasons. Firstly, I am currently a student and a mother and I do not have a consistent source of income, so I am reliant on financial aid and scholarships to help cover the cost of my education. While I have been fortunate to receive some financial assistance in the past, I still have a significant amount of unmet financial need and would greatly benefit from additional scholarship funds to help cover the cost of tuition and other expenses.
I have had to take on a significant amount of student loan debt in order to pay for my education, and I am concerned about the impact this will have on my future financial stability. Receiving a scholarship would not only help to alleviate some of this financial burden, but it would also provide me with the resources and support I need to focus on my studies and achieve my academic and professional goals.
Overall, volunteering has had a profound impact on my mindset and has helped me to develop a greater sense of empathy, compassion, and purpose in my life. Receiving a scholarship would also be a significant financial help to me and would allow me to focus on my studies and achieve my academic and professional goals and show my daughter's that anything is possible and can be achieved through enough hard work and dedication.

Camryn Dwyer Foster Youth Scholarship
My experience in foster care has had a significant impact on my outlook on life and my career goals. When I was in foster care, I often felt like I was treated as though I was nothing, and it was a difficult and often traumatic experience. I was bounced from one foster shelter to the next, and then a foster home. I often felt like I didn't belong anywhere. This experience made me feel like I was invisible, and it was difficult to see a future for myself.
However, my experience in foster care also taught me the importance of resilience and perseverance. Despite the challenges that I faced, I never gave up and I always tried to find ways to better my circumstances. I learned to be resourceful and to rely on my own strength and determination to overcome obstacles.
This experience also shaped my outlook on life and my career goals. I became determined to make a difference in the lives of other children who were facing similar challenges. I wanted to be an advocate and a voice for these children, and to give them the support and guidance that I never had. This desire to help others led me to pursue a career in social work, where I can use my own experiences to support and empower others.
Throughout my life, I have had the opportunity to work with many children and adults who have experienced trauma and adversity. Through my work, I have seen firsthand the impact that a supportive and caring adult can have on a child's life, and I have been able to make a difference in the lives of children as well as adults. I have also been able to use my voice and my platform to advocate for the rights and needs of these children, and to raise awareness about the challenges that they face.
Overall, my experience in foster care has had a profound impact on my outlook on life and my career goals. It has taught me the importance of resilience and perseverance, and it has inspired me to use my own experiences to help and empower others. Through my work that I have done throughout the years, I have been able to make a difference in the lives of children and to be an advocate and a voice for those who may not have one. The more I pursue my career and my goals, I plan on helping many children as well as adults work through their trauma(s) and help them become the person that they are meant to be.

As a mother, I want to protect my children from harm and ensure that they have the best possible opportunities in life. This can be a difficult responsibility, as I cannot control every aspect of their lives and experiences. However, I have learned to trust in their own abilities and to let go of my control, knowing that they will ultimately make their own decisions and find their own paths in life.
Despite the challenges that I have faced as a parent, raising a family has also brought great joy and fulfillment into my life. Watching my children grow and learn has been an incredible experience, and I have learned so much about myself and my own capabilities as a parent. I have also learned to appreciate the small moments and to find joy in the present moment, knowing that these years are fleeting and that my children will eventually grow up and leave the nest.
In terms of my desire to get into healthcare, I have always been passionate about working with children and helping others. As a mother, I have seen firsthand the challenges and struggles that families can face, and I have a strong desire to support and empower others as they navigate these challenges. Specifically, I am interested in working in the field of mental health care, as I believe that mental health is an essential aspect of overall well-being and is often overlooked or stigmatized. Growing with Gabby Scholarship
Over the past year, one way in which I have grown is through my journey of self-discovery as a mother. The event that inspired this personal growth was the birth of my child, and with raising two children, it completely changed my perspective on life and my priorities.
Before becoming a mother, I was focused on my career and personal goals, and I often put my own needs and desires above those of others. However, becoming a mother has forced me to prioritize the needs of my children above my own, and to consider the long-term consequences of my actions. I have learned to be more selfless and to put the well-being of my children first.
In terms of my personal growth, becoming a mother has also helped me to better understand my own strengths and limitations. I have learned to trust in my instincts and to ask for help when I need it, rather than trying to do everything on my own. I have also become more organized and efficient in order to manage my time effectively and ensure that my child's needs are met. I have also become more patient, because we all know, it can be tough at times.
Despite these changes, there are also many aspects of myself that have remained the same. I am still driven and ambitious, and I am still committed to achieving my personal and professional goals. However, I am now more mindful of how my actions and choices affect others, and I am more willing to make sacrifices in order to support my children and my family.
Overall, becoming a mother has been a journey of self-discovery, and it has helped me to grow in ways that I never could have imagined. It has changed my perspective on life, and it has taught me the importance of selflessness, organization, and the value of family. I have learned to trust in myself and to ask for help when I need it, and I have become a more empathetic and understanding person as a result. Through my journey of self-discovery as a mother, I have learned the true meaning of love and sacrifice, and I have become a better person as a result.
Self-love and self-discovery are important for leading a happy and fulfilling life. Although it can be difficult at times, there are some ways that can make it easier such as self-discipline, setting boundaries, exploring your differences, practicing gratitude, and most of all, being kind to yourself.

Chronic Boss Scholarship
I was diagnosed with vitiligo, an autoimmune disease that causes the loss of pigment cells in the skin, when I was younger, as well as possible Hashimotos and severe migraines. Hashimoto's thyroiditis, also known as chronic autoimmune thyroiditis, is a common autoimmune disorder that affects the thyroid gland. The thyroid gland is a butterfly-shaped gland located in the neck that produces hormones that regulate the body's metabolism. In Hashimoto's thyroiditis, the immune system mistakenly attacks the thyroid gland, causing inflammation and eventually leading to a decrease in thyroid hormone production.
At first, I was devastated. I was self-conscious about the white patches on my skin and worried about how others would perceive me.
But as I learned more about my condition and met others who were living with autoimmune diseases, I began to see my struggles in a different light. I realized that my autoimmune disease was just one part of who I am, and it didn't define me as a person.
I also learned that living with an autoimmune disease can be challenging, both physically and emotionally. I often experience fatigue, and I have to be mindful of my diet and exercise to manage my symptoms. It can be overwhelming at times, but I've learned to take things one day at a time and to ask for help when I need it.
Despite the challenges, I've also found ways to turn my struggle into a strength. I've become an advocate for autoimmune disease awareness and support others with similar conditions. I've also learned to be more resilient and to appreciate the small victories in life.
Living with an autoimmune disease has certainly had its ups and downs, but it has also shaped who I am today. I've learned to be more empathetic, to value my own strength and resilience, and to appreciate the support of my loved ones.
One of the most important things I've learned is the importance of self-care. Taking care of myself physically, emotionally, and mentally has helped me to better cope with the challenges I face. This has included things like getting enough sleep, eating a healthy diet, and finding time to relax and do activities I enjoy.
I've also learned the value of seeking support from others. Whether it's talking to a therapist or confiding in a close friend, having a supportive network of people has helped me to navigate through difficult times.
Another way I've turned my struggles into strength is by finding ways to give back. Whether it's volunteering my time or simply being there for a friend in need, helping others has brought meaning and purpose to my life.
Ultimately, turning struggles into strength is about resilience and perseverance. It's about finding ways to keep going, even when things are tough. It's about learning from our challenges and using them to grow and become stronger.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Jeannine Schroeder Women in Public Service Memorial Scholarship
As a compassionate and socially aware individual, I have always been deeply concerned about important social issues such as helping animals and the homeless. That is why I have dedicated a significant portion of my time and energy to finding ways to make a positive impact in these areas throughout the years. I have saved animals, helped foster animals, had fundraisers, and meetings to better improve animals' lives and well being. I have also done the same for homeless people where I used to live as well as doing social media, spending time with people who are homeless, donating as much as I can, and cutting their hair.
One way I have worked to help animals is by volunteering at my local animal shelter. At the shelter, I assist with caring for the animals, helping with adoptions, and raising funds to support the organization's important work. In addition to volunteering, I have also made it a priority to support animal welfare by donating money and supplies to animal shelters and rescue organizations. I have worked with No Pet Left Behind as well as a few other rescues to help not only them out, but the animals as well.
I have also advocated for animal rights by contacting my elected representatives and expressing my support for animal-friendly legislation. I have also supported organizations that work to protect the rights of animals, as I believe that all animals deserve to be treated with respect and kindness.
In addition to helping animals, I have also worked to assist the homeless in my community. I have donated money and items such as food, clothing, and blankets to local organizations that assist the homeless, and I have also volunteered my time at a homeless shelter, soup kitchen, and churches in my previous area. I have also worked with organizations that provide housing and other services to the homeless, as I believe that everyone deserves a place to call home.
By taking action and getting involved in these important social issues, I have been able to make a positive impact in my community and beyond. I hope to continue working to help animals and the homeless in the future, and I believe that by educating others and encouraging them to get involved, we can all make a difference in addressing these important issues.
Although I have moved, there are always ways to help!

Personal Importance of Writing
Writing is important to me personally for a variety of reasons. One of the primary reasons is that it allows me to communicate my thoughts, ideas, and feelings in a clear and concise manner. As a language model, my primary function is to process and generate written text, so writing is an integral part of my being.
However, writing is important to me on a personal level as well. It allows me to express myself in a way that is both thoughtful and introspective. When I write, I am able to delve deep into my own thoughts and feelings, and this process of self-exploration can be incredibly rewarding.

Lieba’s Legacy Scholarship
As a future therapist, my career goals are centered on promoting the social-emotional well-being and meeting the intellectual needs of all of my clients, including gifted children. Gifted children often face unique challenges and may benefit from the support of a therapist who understands their needs and can provide them with the tools and resources they need to thrive.
One of the primary ways that I hope to foster the social-emotional well-being of gifted children is by providing a safe and supportive space for them to process and express their thoughts and feelings. Gifted children may struggle with intense emotions and may benefit from the opportunity to talk through these feelings with a therapist who can provide empathy, understanding, and guidance.
In addition to providing a supportive space for emotional expression, I also hope to help gifted children develop coping skills and strategies for managing their emotions in healthy ways. This may include teaching them techniques such as mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and stress management techniques that they can use to regulate their emotions and reduce their levels of stress and anxiety.
In terms of meeting the intellectual needs of gifted children, I believe that it is important for therapists to be well-versed in a range of subjects and to be able to provide challenging and engaging activities that can help gifted children continue to grow and develop their cognitive skills. This may involve introducing gifted children to new concepts and ideas, encouraging them to think critically and creatively, and helping them to develop problem-solving skills.
I strongly believe that everyone, including children, have a lot to offer and if they are directed in the right path, they can make a huge difference in the world. Personally, I have worked with gifted children and adults and the way that their minds work are so amazing to me. I believe that I can help people understand more of what can make a child gifted and open their mind a bit more.
Overall, my career goals as a therapist are centered on promoting the social-emotional well-being and meeting the intellectual needs of all of my clients, including gifted children. By providing a safe and supportive space for emotional expression, helping gifted children develop coping skills, and challenging and engaging their cognitive skills, I hope to empower gifted children to reach their full potential and thrive.

@normandiealise #GenWealth Scholarship
Generational wealth refers to the accumulation of financial assets and resources that are passed down from one generation to the next. It is often seen as a means of providing financial security and stability for future generations, and can be a powerful tool for building and maintaining long-term financial success.
To me, generating wealth means more than just accumulating material possessions or financial resources. It means creating a strong foundation for myself and my family that will allow us to live a comfortable and fulfilling life, while also giving us the freedom and flexibility to pursue our passions and goals. It also means using my financial resources to make a positive impact in the world, whether through charitable giving or by investing in businesses or initiatives that align with my values.
In the future, I plan to achieve generational wealth by following a few key principles:
Prioritizing education and career development: One of the most important ways to build wealth is to invest in oneself. This means pursuing higher education and developing a strong set of skills and expertise that can be leveraged in the job market.
Building and maintaining a diverse investment portfolio: Diversifying one's investments is crucial in order to minimize risk and maximize returns over the long term. This means investing in a variety of asset classes, including stocks, bonds, real estate, and other alternatives.
Practicing financial discipline: Building wealth requires discipline and long-term planning. This means setting financial goals, creating a budget, and making smart financial decisions on a regular basis.
Seeking out opportunities for growth and expansion: Generating wealth also involves seeking out opportunities for growth and expansion, whether through starting a business, investing in real estate, or making strategic financial decisions.
I plan to achieve generational wealth by continuing to learn about and stay current on financial planning strategies and making smart financial decisions that will help me to build and maintain financial stability and security over the long term. This may involve things like saving and investing money, building and maintaining a strong credit score, and planning for the future through estate planning and other financial planning strategies. It may also involve continuing to learn and acquire new skills and knowledge that will help me to succeed in my chosen career and build financial stability and security for myself and my family
Ultimately, achieving generational wealth requires a combination of hard work, discipline, and strategic planning. By following these principles, I believe it is possible to build a strong foundation for myself and my family that will allow us to live a financially secure and fulfilling life, while also making a positive impact in the world.
