My ultimate career goal is to be a high school English teacher! English has always been my favorite subject and a passion of mine. My end goal is to make an incredibly huge impact on my future students, just as one of my favorite teachers did for me. If I could make an impact on a single person, it would mean so much to me. However, I hope for it to be way more!

My entire career choice was inspired by my 10th grade English teacher, Mr Rawlins! In college, I plan to pursue a major relating to Education. More specifically, I am planning on pursuing an English degree with a teaching certificate. I eventually want to become a high school English teacher! English has been a passion of mine since my 10th grade year of high school, and since then I have always performed well in the subject, and always look for room to get better. Mr. Rawlins was a phenomenal teacher, and the impact he made on me inspired me to one day do the same for other students. His teaching style, his genuine character, as well as his expertise in the subject, drove me to become incredibly passionate about English. I always look forward to attending my English class every day. Throughout high school, one of my main goals has been to become a more experienced writer. I feel like I have been successful in doing so. My writing at one point was incredibly basic, as I never really had to apply myself. However, when I was a part of Mr. Rawlins class, I had to learn how to become a better writer to do well in the class, and that was the biggest thing that he pushed for me. I owe a tremendous amount of credit to Mr. Rawlins for making me a better writer! Mr. Rawlins is an amazing teacher, but where he shines most is his character! He is such a genuine and kind person. He is incredibly humorous and makes lots of funny jokes that keeps the students in his class engaged. Most of all, he shows that he enjoys his job! I have had so many teachers that clearly show they do not enjoy teaching. There was never a day during Mr. Rawlins class where it seemed that he was not enjoying what he was doing. He took the same approach to every single day, and that was to show joy and find a way to positively impact others. That is the same approach that I am learning to apply to my own life. The impact that Mr. Rawlins made on me has carried throughout high school, and will continue to carry on in the future! Because of a single person, I found my passion for a career that I previously never even considered. If you would've asked me 5 years ago if I wanted to be a teacher, I would've laughed and said "absolutely not!" However, with more life experience, and the positive impact from a wonderful teacher, I changed my mind. Not only did Mr. Rawlins help me academically, but he also inspired me to improve my character. Mr. Rawlins demeanor and the genuine joy that he shows can brighten up anyone's day. Now, my goal is to be just like Mr. Rawlins. I hope to make a positive impact on my future students, just as Mr. Rawlins did for me. That is my end goal, and I am fully confident in my ability to do so. One day, I sincerely hope that one of my students will be writing something similar about me just as what I am writing about Mr. Rawlins right now! It is my dream to make a positive impact on someone, even if it is just a single person. Although, I would love for it to be way more people!

My name is Aiden Harris and I am a senior at Locust Grove High School in Locust Grove, Georgia! I am involved within my school and one of my passions is Student Government! I have participated in Student Government for 3 years and have been able to make an impact in my local community and my school. I am a Christian, and that is by far the biggest part of me. As a Christian, I believe that it is my duty to be the best version of myself that I can be, and be a light to those around me, just like God tells us to be! I have been a Christian since 7 years old. However, as a kid, I was only able to understand so much. Within my time in high school, I have started to fully grasp the concept of what it means to be a Christian, and attempt to apply myself to my faith as much as I possibly can.
