Trades Make the World Go 'Round
My name is Amanda Schwartz. I am 34 years old. I have been a CNA. Since I was 18. I specialize in dementia patients. I work in nursing homes. Now that my kids are older and don't need so much of my attention. I am ready to go farther in my career and become an LPN. And may decide to continue with my RN. I am currently taking my pre nursing courses at Cisco college. I think trade schools are very important. Not everyone can sit in a classroom and listen to someone talk for hours. Or read a book and fully understand it. Some people are more visual or hands on learner. I am one of those people and so is my son. My son went to a trade school for welding and he has make himself a great life. Some blue collar workers make more money than people in the corporate world. Trade school are a great option for people who don't want to and can't learn the traditional way in a normal college setting. Trade school is generally a cheaper option also. Not all families can afford college. And even if you apply for a hundred scholarships. You may only get one or two of them. These are the reasons why I support trade schools. And think that we need more of them. Please consider me for your scholarship. I will be very grateful and put your money to very good use. Thank you so much for the opportunity.
