Our opportunity and identity are shaped by the community in which we live. Many people in our areas, especially those who are homeless, unfortunately confront serious obstacles. When I think back on my dedication to bettering my community, I am motivated by a desire to help homeless adults and children get back on their feet and ensure a brighter future. I think we can make the world a more welcoming and encouraging place for everyone if we engage in advocacy, empathy, and direct action. A complex problem, homelessness frequently results from a confluence of issues like lack of affordable housing, mental illness, substance abuse, and poverty. Many homeless people struggle to get necessary services because they are stigmatized and isolated. Understanding each person's particular situation and difficulties is essential to provide them with meaningful help. I've seen from working with the homeless people in my neighborhood that systemic problems that are out of their control frequently influence their experiences. Lacking access to social support, healthcare, and steady work, many people are caught in a vicious cycle of poverty. This realization strengthens my resolve to address the underlying causes of homelessness in addition to offering immediate aid. Advocacy is equally important as direct action in bringing about long-lasting change. Increasing public knowledge of homelessness and its root causes is essential to changing public opinion and promoting community engagement. By means of social media campaigns, community workshops, and collaborations with nearby businesses, I aim to initiate significant dialogues regarding the difficulties encountered by homeless people.Additionally, advocacy entails promoting legislative changes that deal with the structural causes of homelessness. A substantial improvement in the lives of persons in need can result from supporting programs that advance access to affordable housing, medical care, and mental health services. Through collaborating with local authorities and groups, I intend to impact laws that put the welfare of all citizens first. The conviction that each person has the capacity to build a better future for themselves is the driving force behind my work. This frequently begins with restoring self-worth and dignity for homeless people and children. Offering educational opportunities, life skills training, and mentorship programs can enable people to end the cycle of homelessness.Through cultivating relationships with nearby educational institutions and associations, my goal is to guarantee that homeless kids have access to the tools they require to thrive in school. In addition to assisting them in escaping poverty, funding their education gives them hope for a better future.

I’ve always inspired to work with kids and law enforcement since I was young. Making the decision to major in social work is a significant one, driven by a desire to significantly impact other people's lives. This approach, in my opinion, is about having a direct impact on vulnerable groups, especially abused children, rather than merely comprehending social structures. I am becoming more and more interested in the relationship between social work and law enforcement as I continue my education since it may be really helpful to kids dealing with the trauma of abuse. In the field of social work, social justice, advocacy, and compassion are prioritized. People from a variety of backgrounds can use it to evaluate and meet the complicated demands of their customers. I've studied the different systems that impact people and families as a social work major, the value of cultural competence, and the necessity of an all-encompassing approach to assistance. My comprehension of the structural problems that lead to child abuse, such as family dysfunction, poverty, and substance misuse, has deepened as a result of this schooling. I'm especially interested in the cooperative role social workers can play in law enforcement organizations as I think about my career prospects. Investigating cases of abuse, neglect, or other traumatic incidents frequently puts law enforcement personnel in contact with children who are experiencing a crisis. In this situation, social workers can offer crucial assistance, guaranteeing that kids get the right kind of care and support. My ultimate professional goal is to support and advocate for abused children, as I firmly believe that all children should have access to a safe and nurturing environment. Through social work, I hope to directly assist these children in navigating the many emotional and legal obstacles they encounter; in practice, this may entail conducting assessments, creating intervention plans, and offering therapy to help children process their experiences. I also hope to advocate for policy changes that enhance child welfare systems, guaranteeing that resources are available for prevention, intervention, and rehabilitation. I am motivated by a desire to assist children who have suffered from the trauma of abuse as a social work major hoping to work at the nexus of social work and law enforcement. My education has given me the information and abilities I need to comprehend the complex difficulties these kids encounter. I want to work with law enforcement to establish a more nurturing atmosphere where kids may recover and flourish. In the end, I want to be a sympathetic voice for people who are unable to speak for themselves, making sure that every child has the chance to have a better future.

Since my early years, I have had a strong affinity for children and the values of justice. My ambition to work with children in the system and my enthusiasm for law enforcement are closely related, I realize when I think back on my goals. These passions stem from a desire to provide safe and nurturing spaces for the most marginalized people in our society, a dedication to community service, and faith in the possibility of constructive change. Early intervention is made possible by working with children, especially those who are involved with the juvenile justice system. I think that meeting children's needs before their problems worsen is the key to ending the cycle of poverty and criminality. We can create an atmosphere where young people can flourish rather than just survive by emphasizing prevention and rehabilitation above punishment. My passion for law enforcement stems from a desire to serve and protect my community. I see law enforcement as a crucial component of a just society, one that not only enforces the law but also engages with the community in a meaningful way. By fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and youth, we can demystify the justice system and build trust. I’ve worked jobs with my city police department with the youth services and daycares to care with the children. I am currently the first generation being in college and finding my way into working with law enforcement. I went to a trade school for 2 years for criminal justice where I received credits for my work. I received several certificates during my time in high school. I’m currently still working with the Cincinnati police department during my summer and winter breaks. I also work as a day care teacher where I eventually found my passion for children and found how patient and loving I am for children. Now that I am in my sophomore year in college i just picked up a god at the boys and girls club so I can continue my passion as i stay in school. My goals are my education are to graduate college with at least a 4.0 gpa. I want to find internships to help me further my career for the long round. My main focus is working with children and people in need being either in the system or abuse. I want to be able to help family’s and give them justice and serve back to my community and others.
