I am Adrienne Moser, better known as Adi, and I am attending Kansas State University. I am studying interior architecture in a 5 year Master's program as well as obtaining a minor in leadership studies. I am an ambassador for the Staley School of Leadership at K-State, and educate current and prospective students about leadership.
I am constantly working hard to achieve good grades and to get the most out of my education. With the help of a scholarship, I believe that I can achieve my education goals, while continuing to grow as a person. Being involved and surrounded in leadership has taught me many lessons on how to treat people with empathy, kindness, and the importance of human connections. I plan to carry these lessons and the many more I learn out into the workplace and world outside of college.
Thank you for your time and consideration for a scholarship.

I have always strived for excellence in anything I was involved in. Whether I am working hard towards my education, pushing myself in sports, or looking for ways to make other people's lives better, I always strive to put my best foot forward. Throughout high school, I was involved in leadership and service roles including Key Club and National Honor Society. I was heavily involved with my hometown's recreation department, working at tournaments to help give kids a chance to play sports. I continue to help out during the winter and summer breaks when I return home so kids have the opportunity to play just as I did. I also helped out throughout my community volunteering at church dinners or our homecoming color run. Being from Wisconsin, I wasn't sure what Kansas State University had to offer, however, I knew I wanted to continue to make a difference within the community.
On my tour at Kansas State, I was intrigued by the entry-level leadership class and enrolled to take it in my first semester. I learned all of the different leadership styles and some basic principles. I started to think deeper about how leadership can impact a greater community, and decided to declare a minor in leadership studies. I am continuing to learn how leadership can impact the greater community through cultural differences and the importance of empathy. I knew I wanted to be more involved with leadership, service, and the Staley School of Leadership. At the end of my first semester, I was nominated by my class leader to apply to be a leadership ambassador. I decided to apply, went through an interview process, and was accepted. I was so excited about this opportunity to be more involved in leadership and Kansas State University itself.
As an ambassador for the Staley School of Leadership at Kansas State, I am a part of a team of thirty students, of all ages and programs, who want to educate current and prospective students about leadership and its impact. We volunteer at numerous tabling events, open houses, and events put on by the school to engage students and get them interested in leadership and service. Within the ambassador team, I am a part of the events committee. In the events committee, I help plan events, open house days, and different activities for students to learn about leadership. After planning, I then volunteer during the events to make our plans a reality. We are currently planning an open house day for high school students to learn the basic principles that are taught at the Staley School. I also have been involved with spreading awareness to the communities of Manhattan, Kansas about food insecurity. A few of my peers and I collected canned food for the food pantry and spread the word about the local food pantry in town and on campus.
I have learned so much about Kansas State, leadership, service, and Manhattan through just one year of attending school. I will continue to strive o make a difference while at Kansas State for the next few years. I strive to absorb as much information and experiences as I can to use as I move on after college to make the community I live in stronger.
