I am a senior at Aquinas High School. I am a believer in Jesus, and serve in His name, to impact my family, neighborhood, and society with the Gospel. With guidance from the Holy Spirit, I want to bring hope and inspiration to others through my community service, leadership roles, athletic sportsmanship, and art.
I will be the third generation attending and graduating from college. Education is part of my legacy. I want to continue this set by my great grandparents. I come from a family that has carried morals and values for many generations. Our family has revolved their lives around spiritual devotion, commitment to both personal and church families, charity work and respect for and promotion of human dignity. My parents are active members of the church and my grandparents are the greatest role models. Education is part of my history and future, and I am exhilarated to what awaits me. The torch is now in my hands!
Impacting those around me has brought opportunities I never imagined possible. Every day I serve to help others, since providing others happiness and comfort is always important in our short lifetime. My life has granted me countless awesome occasions and possibilities. However, there is one person who has touched my life in the most monumental way. My brother has autism, but autism doesn’t have him. He attends high school with me and it has been my honor to learn from him. His story proves that a village powered by prayer, courage, and education can open a life of hope and endless possibilities.
Thank you for considering my application.

Bold Best Skills Scholarship
Creativity! Art! Commitment! These are my best skills. Since I was in first grade, I enjoyed drawing to bring others happiness. My teachers and family would encourage me to share my vibrant imagination. When I won my first art award from the Riverside Art Museum as a child, it was exhilarating to see other's reaction to my art pieces and creativity. The world and life's journey can bring sadness and challenges, but I strive to inspire others with hope and faith through my art skills and abilities. My commitment is to bring hope through art. Hope inspires us to do the impossible and helps each individual carry on through the most demanding and burdensome trials.
I have countless goals and dreams for my future, but there is one special ambition I plan to conquer, so I can share my talents with a special group of amazing people on earth. My brother has autism and he is the most wondrous person in my life. Taking art classes changed my bother's life. He enjoyed every minute of it, but it served as a therapy without him even knowing. Our art teachers were so patient with him, and after years of support this provided him other opportunities. I had the honor of experiencing the formation of my brother for five years, when we took art classes together. It is my dream to open an art studio and offer families like mine, who live with autism, this rewarding possibility.
It would be my privilege in life to share my talents, skills, and abilities with students and their families who are searching for hope. As an artist, I seek to bring beauty into this world with colors, imagination, hope, and patience. By helping others, I will improve my skills and be the best me.
